It felt like a long-time coming, but thankfully I finally found the career that is the perfect fit for me!
After graduating from Oregon State University with a degree in history, but having no business being a teacher, I started a career in Corporate Sales and Marketing for a furniture manufacturer, my account being Pottery Barn. From there, I continued my work in sales as the District Liaison in Southern California for The Subaru of America Corporation.
Though successful in my field, I felt like something was missing, and after marrying my husband John in 2002, I went back to school for a degree in Marriage and Family Therapy. I finished my course work, but life has a funny way of getting in the way of things, and shortly thereafter we celebrated the birth of our daughter Olivia and 2-years later, our son Danny. After the birth of my children, I wanted to stay home with them and joined my sister-in-law's company, Wholesaler Express.
Finding my passion!
Fast forward 17 years, I came to work at Rimrock Trails as a Consultant in October of 2019 and was subsequently hired as the Community Relations Manager in December of that same year. At Rimrock Trails, I found what I was looking for; cause-driven work educating the community on mental health illness, advocating for those who are unable to access mental health services, and connecting individuals and businesses to a cause that will help to create a thriving community.
What's Next?
Professionally, my goal is to continue to ensure that every child, teen, adult, and family has access to mental health and substance use counseling services no matter their financial circumstances.
In my personal life, I hope to continue to find great pleasure watching Olivia thrive at the University of Oregon's Clark Honors College and to experience unbounded joy as Danny finishes up his time at Redmond High School. John and I love to travel, and we are excited about the many adventures that await us in this next chapter. We won't be alone though, our rescue dog Bella will be sitting right in between us on our journey.
Wishing you all love, warmth, and peace this Holiday Season!

'Tis The Season of Giving

We are so grateful for our valued partners at the Redmond Chamber of Commerce for gifting Rimrock Trails $300 from their 50/50 Program.

We were just 17 votes shy of the Central Oregon Heating and Cooling Gives Back Program's 1st Place Finish.
Congratulations, Canine Rescue East and West; it was a dog fight!
Rimrock Trails Supporters Josh Werner of Edward Jones and Brad and Mandy Helie of Trinity Bikes were so dismayed with the 2nd Place finish, they each gave a $500 matching donation.
Everyone is a winner in the Gives Back Program!
Thank you to all who voted for the individuals and families we serve and a big thank you to Central Oregon Heating and Cooling for giving Rimrock Trails the opportunity to participate.
While it appears we fell short, take solace in our collective effort. We dared to try against the BIG DOGS, and that is worthy. Let us bind together and come back stronger!

This Time of Year
The holidays can be challenging for so many of us. While it's one of my favorite seasons, I struggle as I think about the losses I and many others have experienced this year. What should be a happy season filled with celebration can also be a time when many of us will be dealing with significant loss.
I know I'm not alone in this, and many of us feel these emotions during the holiday season. For some of us, it's dealing with loss, for others, it's working with increased levels of anxiety as we attempt to manage holiday expectations.
That is exactly why I and the Team at Rimrock Trails are working tirelessly to address the mental health demands of every child, teen, adult, and family, in need of services.
But we can't do it without you!
We need your support to ensure we can continue funding critical services such as; our Bend, Redmond, and Prineville counseling clinics, our adolescent residential treatment program, and advocacy to push for access to mental health care for all.
Thank you to everyone who contributed your time, talents, and treasures to Rimrock Trails. We look forward to continued partnership in the New Year!
