NEW AT RIMROCK TRAILS

New Structure In Outpatient Services Brings

Exciting Staff Transitions

Jackie Sharib Appointed as Outpatient Director

Effective June 23, 2025, Jackie Sharib, LCSW, stepped into the role of Outpatient Director, a position formerly held by Katie Keck. Jackie brings over five years of dedicated service with Rimrock Trails to this new role. Her responsibilities include overseeing clinic operations, fostering relationships with community partners, and collaborating closely with our clinicians to ensure accessible, high-quality care across all our locations.

Jackie shares, “I'm excited to work alongside our team of very talented clinicians and partners to expand access and grow a strong outpatient program for those in need.”

Katie Keck Moves to Consulting Clinical Supervisor

Serving eight years at Rimrock Trails, Katie Keck, LMFT, CADC II, will transition into the new position of Consulting Clinical Supervisor. In this role, Katie will provide clinical supervision to all Marriage and Family Therapists and Licensed Professional Counselors and offer program consultations to Jackie Sharib and Erica Fuller, CEO of Rimrock Trails.

Katie looks forward to the opportunities this new position offers, “This new position allows me to focus on counselor and clinical skill development as a mentor outside of a management role, providing unique support to our clinical team as they navigate the complicated landscape of being clinicians in today’s world. Our new structure continues to support the growth and mission of Rimrock Trails while providing quality clinical supervision through the best practice perspective. “

Please join us in congratulating Jackie and Katie as they embark on these exciting new journeys!

MEET OUR TEAM

Meet Brandon McVeigh: Our New HR Manager!

Hello, my name is Brandon McVeigh, and I am thrilled to join Rimrock Trails as the new Human Resource Manager. With a background in non-profit human resources and healthcare management, I hold a Master's degree in Healthcare Administration from Portland State University. I am passionate about supporting the dedicated professionals who provide invaluable services to our Central Oregon communities.

I truly enjoy the finer details of HR that others often overlook, such as paperwork and policies, and I look forward to helping employees navigate their benefits and workplace needs. My goal is to create a supportive environment where every team member feels valued and empowered.

Having lived in Central Oregon for the past four years, I fully embrace the outdoor lifestyle with my two dogs, including my two-legged Mini Aussie, who keeps me on my toes. As an avid outdoorsman, I have embarked on extensive backpacking journeys and mountain-climbing expeditions, including one of my proudest achievements, summiting an 18,000+ foot peak in Mexico.

I am excited for the opportunity to support our team and contribute to the mission of Rimrock Trails.

THANK YOU RIMROCK TRAILS COMMUNITY

Rimrock Trails and Wild Ride Brewing Partner to Raise Over $50,000 for Mental Health Initiatives and Student Scholarships

Thanks to a partnership between Rimrock Trails and Wild Ride Brewing, over $50,000 was raised for the Kiefer Magical Legacy Fund, honoring Kiefer Leutschaft, who passed away in 2021 due to mental illness. The funds support mental health programs, client financial assistance at Rimrock Trails, and college scholarships through the Kiefer Leutschaft Memorial Scholarship Fund.

This year, $1,000 scholarships were awarded to Addison Robison (Redmond High School) and Natalie Crass (Crook County High School), both pursuing studies in psychology-related fields.

Planting Seeds of Hope: Thank You to the Kiwanis Club of Redmond Foundation and AgWest Farm Credit

We are thrilled to share that our Horticultural Therapy Garden at the Rimrock Trails Redmond Clinic is one step closer to becoming a reality, thanks to the incredible generosity of two dedicated community partners.

The Kiwanis Club of Redmond Foundation has awarded Rimrock Trails a generous $10,000 grant, and AgWest Farm Credit Services has contributed an additional $2,500 in support of this innovative and healing project. These gifts represent more than just financial support, they are a powerful investment in the mental health and wellness of our community.

The Horticultural Therapy Garden will provide a peaceful, restorative space for individuals participating in behavioral health services. Research shows that working with plants and spending time outdoors can reduce stress, improve mood, and support emotional regulation, especially for youth and families navigating mental health challenges.

"We are deeply grateful to the Kiwanis Club of Redmond Foundation and AgWest for believing in this vision and helping us create a space where healing and growth can thrive—one plant, one person, and one community at a time," shared Michelle Duff, Community Relations Manager.

Stay tuned for updates as we move closer to breaking ground on this exciting new addition to our Redmond Clinic!

VOLUNTEER CORNER

Volunteer, Jeannie Coyle Penney,

Prineville Community Engagement Team Member

In 2023, at a networking gathering, I met Darleen Rodgers, the Community Relations Coordinator at Rimrock Trails. Learning that Rimrock Trails was hosting a volunteer project for MLK Day, I assembled a team of volunteers to work on craft projects for an upcoming event, and thus, it began. The day included a tour of the Residential Adolescent Program, and I was truly impressed by what I saw.

As a member of the Prineville Community Engagement Team, I witness firsthand the professionalism of the Rimrock Team, experience the camaraderie among the volunteers who keep setting and surpassing goals, and appreciate the efforts being made to help grow the outreach and impact of recovery for young people and individuals of all ages. Rimrock Trails is truly a gift to Central Oregon, and being a part of it nourishes my soul.

Thank you, Jeannie, for all you do!
