Rimrock Trails Turns 35!
Founded in 1990 in Prineville, Oregon, Rimrock Trails has grown from a small nonprofit adolescent treatment program into one of Central Oregon’s most trusted behavioral healthcare providers. Now celebrating 35 years, the organization continues to offer timely, compassionate, and life-changing mental health and substance use treatment to individuals and families across the region.
In 2024 alone, Rimrock Trails delivered over 19,000 services, helping people build resilience, rebuild relationships, and find hope.
To honor this milestone during National Recovery Month, Rimrock Trails hosted a Coffee Clatter with the Redmond Chamber on September 5, and co-hosted with the Crook County Health Department a National Recovery Month community celebration on September 19 at Pioneer Park in Prineville, featuring food, music, and local resources.
“We remain steadfast in our commitment to expanding access and advocating for the behavioral health needs of our community.”
— Erica Fuller, CEO, Rimrock Trails Treatment Services

The Community Gathered for Prineville
National Recovery Month Celebration
On Friday, September 19, the Crook County Health Department, Rimrock Trails, and local partners hosted a free, family-friendly event at Pioneer Park in Prineville to celebrate National Recovery Month. The community came together to enjoy live music, tasty food, raffle prizes, and valuable recovery resources, all while honoring the strength and resilience of those impacted by mental health and substance use challenges.
“Recovery Month celebrates the courageous journey toward recovery and reminds us that recovery is possible,” said Haley Morris of the Crook County Health Department.
The event welcomed individuals in recovery, their loved ones, and community members eager to learn more and show their support. The evening fostered connection, reduced stigma, and reinforced the message that healing happens when communities come together.

Peggy’s Story: A Journey of Purpose
"I'm Peggy Gregg, Assistant to the CEO and member of the Prineville Community Engagement Team at Rimrock Trails, where I’ve been proud to serve for over 15 years. When I first started, I knew very little about addiction and mental health. It was heartbreaking to see young people arrive at our Residential Program in such pain, but it was also deeply eye-opening.
What keeps me here is witnessing transformation. I’ve seen incredible turnarounds, some within just weeks. Former clients often return or call to share their success stories: careers, families, and years of sobriety. One client recently visited to say they had been clean for many years, have a job, a spouse, and kids, thanks to their recovery journey.
That’s what Rimrock Trails is about, restoring hope and helping individuals and families build brighter futures." — Peggy Gregg, Assistant to the CEO, Rimrock Trails Treatment Services
Thank you, Peggy, for all you do!
