Just over a year ago, Rimrock Trails expanded to include rapid access to mental health counseling services for adults, couples, families, and young children throughout Central Oregon.
We couldn’t have done it without our community partners, supporters, volunteers, and diverse team of professional behavioral health providers.
Thank you for making Rimrock Trails a leader in the system of care, addressing mental health and substance use disorders for the Central Oregon community!

Meet our Newest Board Member!
|
We are honored to welcome Sierra Groenewold, LPC, to the Rimrock Trail's Board of Directors!
Sierra is no stranger to our organization's work, as she is an Integrated Behavioral Health Provider for Summit Medical Group and a long-time community partner of Rimrock Trails.
In her words, “I came to know Rimrock Trails both by working with the agency as a community partner and taking a collective stance to help improve the well-being of Central Oregonians struggling with mental and substance use issues. Joining the Rimrock Trail’s Board is a great way to give back and be an integral part of my community. I feel very proud to live in Central Oregon and be part of the Rimrock Trails organization as well as a behavioral health provider in this community.”
Welcome Sierra, to the Rimrock Trail's Board and community!

We are thankful for our team member
Gina Bliss
Food Services Manager
|
|
Two years ago, Gina Bliss, Rimrock Trail’s Residential Food Services Manager, listened to a voice that said, “This is what you need to be doing.” We are so thankful she acted on that voice!
Gina came to Rimrock Trails after working for 20 years in the Bend/Lapine School District’s Nutrition Services Department. She has a deep understanding of how the National School Lunch Program works and loves to serve fresh, healthy, and creative meals for the teens in our adolescent residential treatment program.
She shares, “My specialty is cooking. I love to cook and I love being able to create food that the kids like while complying with the government’s guidelines. It’s like a giant puzzle and I love to make all the pieces fit together. It’s a great challenge!”
Gina’s hope and vision for the Food Services Program at Rimrock Trails is to make sure the kids have a positive and healthy food experience during their stay. Gina proudly creates a monthly cultural themed dining and learning experience for the kids. Last month, for example, the kids enjoyed a French cuisine dinner and learned about the country of France.
She states, “Food is a connection to home for many of our kids and it’s rewarding when you can help them keep and find that connection while they are here.”
When not at work, Gina and her husband of 33 years can be found traveling, birding, and naturally, cooking and baking.
Thank you, Gina, for all you do for the teens at Rimrock Trails!

Thank You To The Rimrock Trail's Community
|
|
The team at Rimrock Trails is honored to receive over $17,000 in grant funds from PacificSource Health Plan's Community Health Excellence Grant. These monies will assist us in our efforts to deliver innovative healthcare experiences and increase the traditional healthcare workforce in Central Oregon.

|
We are so thankful for our valued partners at the Oregon Community Foundation for awarding Rimrock Trails a $15,000 grant to fund the ongoing Community Relations Manager position and program.
This program is designed to improve access to behavioral health services for at-risk individuals in rural areas, forge and build relationships with community partners, and to educate the public on behavioral health issues facing our community.
Thank you OCF!

We are so grateful to the kind and resourceful crew at Silipint for donating nearly 80 cups to Rimrock Trails!
Culture is at the heart of the Bend-based drinkware company. They strive to inspire audible joy, spark curiosity, and to encourage resourcefulness through the simplicity of unbreakable and reusable silicone drinking cups, bowls, and straws.

People giving to people, what could be better!
Our Halloween plans for the teens in our residential treatment program were thwarted and we needed to come up with something quick. So we called Laura Garcia and her team at the Redmond Mazatlan's. The only questions Laura asked was, "how many and when do you need the food by?" We are so grateful for your selfless giving and support during our time of need.
