Resources For You
Talking to children about current events can be challenging.

Here are some resources to help!
Thank You To The Rimrock Trail's Community
June is the gateway to summer!

Your continued support directly impacts our ability to provide uncompromised and affordable behavioral health services to Central Oregon children, teens, adults, and families. In addition, your gifts allow us to serve the teens in our residential treatment program while they work towards their recovery.

Thank You
Rimrock Trails Receives Grant Support Amidst the COVID-19 Crisis
We are beyond grateful to have received $5,000 in grant funds from the Moonflower Fund of the Oregon Community Foundation. As an essential business, this funding supports the work Rimrock Trails has underway including providing behavioral health services to the Central Oregon community through Telehealth Counseling and our adolescent Residential Treatment Program for teens with mental health and severe substance use issues.
We are honored to have been awarded $2,500 in grant funds from the Crook County Business Task Force in response to the COVID-19 virus’s economic impact on small businesses. This funding supports our organization’s daily business operations so that we can continue to provide behavioral health services to the Crook County community amidst the COVID-19 crisis.
First Story on Behalf of Hayden Homes Awards Rimrock Trails $2,000 in Grant Funds
We are thankful to be awarded $2,000 in grant funds from First Story on behalf of their building partners, Hayden Homes to support our Redmond based Child and Family Counseling Program. This funding supports the infrastructure needed to provide evidence-based and affordable counseling to the youngest Deschutes County residents and their families. Assistance will create a designated children’s therapy space and help to purchase supplies and equipment necessary to provide specialized counseling for children.
The Redmond Proficiency's Community Giving Class Gives Rimrock Trails $1,500 to Produce a Video on Mental Health and Substance Use Treatment
A huge shoutout of thanks to Tamara Bremont and the Redmond Proficiency Academy's Community Giving Class. This amazing group of young adults with the support of the Oregon Community Foundation, awarded Rimrock Trails $1,500 to create an educational video on mental health and substance use concerns.
Meet Our Team
Rimrock Trail's Recovery Mentor Program:
Transformed People Helping to Transform People

Certified Recovery Mentors engage with and provide support for individuals and families in both residential and outpatient treatment. Peer support is a unique and essential element of recovery rooted in mental health and substance use systems of care. They are health care professionals with similar life experiences who are able to listen, provide hope, and give guidance toward recovery in a way that is different, and just as valuable, as clinical services.

In addition to emotional support, Recovery Mentors also help those in early recovery reengage in their community through facilitating a client's opportunity for health care, legal and employment resources, skill-building, establishing community connections and relationships, mentoring, setting goals, and recovery advocacy.

Travis Weaver, CADC1, CRM
Recovery Mentor
Later this year, Recovery Mentor Travis Weaver, will be celebrating his 6 th anniversary with Rimrock Trails. A Certified Recovery Mentor, Travis earned Bachelor Degrees in both Political Science and Art from the University of Oregon.

Prior to moving to Central Oregon, Travis volunteered at a non-profit in Eugene, Oregon called the Wow Hall, a community center for the performing arts where he eventually became a staff member. With a desire to work in the non-profit sector, Travis worked as a volunteer coordinator and house manager. He was also the liaison between the Board of Directors and the community.

Travis is proud of his work as a Certified Recovery Mentor and has a vision for the program. He shares, “I would like to see the Recovery Mentor Program grow. A Recovery Mentor is a unique position. In my experience, some clients don’t relate to having a counselor and prefer a non-traditional therapy that a recovery mentor can offer.”

When not helping his clients, Travis can be found mountain biking, hiking, playing disc golf, and caving. He is also an avid record collector and travels to various record conventions to buy and resell his picks. Between LPs and 7” his collection boasts 5000 or more records!

Thank you, Travis, for all you do!

To all the Dad's out there, we wish you a great day!
