Traveling Artists Update - Mykonos and Kusadasi

We continue our journey through the Greek islands.

What a great time we had visiting these other locations. The people were fantastic and very welcoming to us. (The pizza was in Barcelona).

Just one more from Kusadasi, Turkey. This building was the library that held a lot the manuscripts about life in ancient times.

Here's Jon in action as soon as we made it to the top of the "mountain" in Santorini, Greece. We will have more stories about this wonderful island.

Piraeus, Greece, is the birthplace of the Olympic Games. This was a fascinating site to visit. This picture shows the first field used for the games, and it would hold 20,000 fans.

Nothing like a fresh Greek lunch in Katakolon. This was at an olive "farm" that grows and presses its own olive oil. This is an award-winning farm and the food was fabulous to say the least!

We saw a lot of ancient ruins, modern cities, and experienced great food.

This is Gingers how to paint a vase of flowers, keeping it simple but spectacular; I always seem to go a little rogue, but it’s all from what I have learned from watching and listening and having a great time, and it’s free !! Save Your Brushes...Prepare your Canvas!

Have you ever rubbed your hand over a new canvas? If not, try it sometimes; it will feel like you are rubbing your hand over sandpaper. And speaking of sandpaper, take a sheet of extra-fine grade sandpaper and rub it lightly over the gesso side of the canvas.

Sanding your canvas will save your brushes. Unsanded canvas is like sandpaper, which wears out your brushes quicker than you'd like. Do yourself a favor, and your brushes will appreciate it!
