As I boarded the train, I couldn't help but feel a sense of excitement and anticipation for the journey ahead. I had heard so much about the beauty of New Zealand, and I was eager to see it for myself. As the train began to move, we followed a winding river through the vast landscape, surrounded by rolling hills, lush forests, and snow-capped mountains.

I could take in this incredible country's breathtaking views and natural beauty throughout the ride. I saw where the river had flooded houses, and I watched as sheep and horses grazed in the fields. It was a truly peaceful and picturesque scene.

As we traveled along the tracks, I was treated to a delicious lunch at our table so I could continue taking pictures out the window. I was able to choose from a wide variety of dishes, whether I was in the mood for something salty, sweet, or vegetarian options. The food was perfectly prepared and an excellent way to fuel up the rest of the journey.

Overall, taking a train ride tour through New Zealand was an unforgettable experience for me. The stunning views, delicious food, and the opportunity to see local wildlife and communities made it a truly unique and memorable way to explore and experience the beauty of this beautiful country. I left the tour feeling grateful and inspired, and I can't wait to come back and explore more of what New Zealand has to offer.

We have asked the Purple Members what they want to learn or what they are finding challenging in their paintings. These will be fun little exercises that will teach you to look at the paintings of the masters and notice some of the more subtle techniques that they employed in their artwork.

Debbie Jones, who has been a member of the Academy for over a year, was pleasantly surprised by the results of the Box of Cookie tutorial she completed. Despite not realizing it was a Box of Cookie tutorial at first, she was able to successfully complete the tutorial and create a beautiful painting.

The outstanding job of following the video tutorial and using what she has learned in this tutorial on "Tigers Drinking", Debbie was able to create a masterpiece.
