Turning Survivors Into Support

Next Generation of Industry Leaders hosted an incredible Spring Gala on May 5th at the elegant Union League Club in NYC.

We are truly honored that the Michael Magro Foundation and Ashley’s Army, supporting Blood Cancer United, were selected as this year’s featured charities.

This evening was especially meaningful because both our son, Marc Magro, and Ashley Ryan are lymphoma survivors. Their journeys have inspired them to turn some of life’s most difficult moments into a shared mission of helping others facing cancer find hope, support, and the possibility of brighter outcomes.

This beautiful evening made a meaningful difference, providing $17,500 in support to each organization.

A heartfelt thank you to the sponsors, dedicated supporters, and the NGIL Board of Directors who made this beautiful evening possible. Your commitment and generosity help us continue our mission and bring hope to the families we serve.

On behalf of the MMF Board and all the families whose lives you touch, thank you from the bottom of our hearts.

Because Caregivers Need Care, Too

The Michael Magro Foundation was honored to sponsor Blooming Through It: A Celebration of Mothers and Caregivers on Friday, May 8th - a special gathering in the Family Lounge for patients, moms, and caregivers. Hosted by the Social Work staff, Child Life, and Holistic Services teams at Cohen's Children’s Hospital.

This special event was a beautiful way to recognize the love, strength, and resilience of the mothers and caregivers who give so much each and every day.

As a mother and caregiver of two children who were in pediatric cancer treatment, I truly appreciate the importance of events like this. Moments of care, connection, and support can make such a difference for families navigating difficult journeys. The afternoon provided an opportunity to pause, feel appreciated, and simply enjoy being together.

We are grateful to have been part of an afternoon filled with support, connection, and appreciation for those who continue to bloom through it all. It was a beautiful reminder that caring for caregivers matters too.
