Thank you to Encinitas Mayor Catherine Blakespear for again issuing her "Mayor's Challenge" to ensure Encinitas has enough volunteers to meet the need. Read Mayor Blakespear's article about how this event can make a difference for homelessness in our community.

Former CRC Participant on 10 News
Susan Chance was once a CRC participant who came to us for food, counseling and help during the holidays. Today, she gives back as a volunteer in our Food and Nutrition Center each week. Susan recently shared her giving story with 10 News.

Thank you to our caring community for providing meals for families at Carol's House
Each month, CRC receives donated meals cooked and prepared by members of our community to nourish and ease the burden for the families within the shelter. Thank you to the following donors who regularly donate dinner to our shelter families: National Charity League, Temple Solel, the Esther Project, and Seacoast Church.

We also want to thank the groups that supported our domestic violence program during an unexpected renovation late last year, leaving families without a kitchen or place to store food. Thank you to San Dieguito United Methodist Church, Seaside Center for Spiritual Living, Project Beauty For All, and the Solana Beach Rotary Club.
