Youth Director Aaron Johnsen says all systems are "Go!" for Youth Summer Camp
Summer Camp Starts Sunday

Sunday (June 13), Riverbend's Youth will be heading for six days of Summer Camp in Bryson City, North Carolina. Please keep them (some 140 folks) in prayer—for good health, for safety & God's protection, for Camp Pastor Scott Menez' messages to be impacting, and for many to be saved from God's wrathful judgment ... The campers return home Friday evening, June 18.

NOTE: Some students still need financial assistance (the cost is $375 each), so if you can help by providing a scholarship or even a partial scholarship, please contact Youth Director Aaron Johnsen. Call 386-672-1821 or click here.
  • Packing lists available now in Youth Center
  • Camp check-in & lice checks: Wednesday, June 9, Room 184, 4-6 p.m.

Proposed 'Heartbeat' Amendment
Seeks Protection of Human Life
"All human beings have a right to life regardless of age, illness, or disability when there is a detectable heartbeat."

That's the "rights" summary of a proposed amendment to the state constitution for the next election. Riverbend is supporting this cause by collecting voters' signatures to help get it on the ballot.

If you are a registered voter, please sign the petition at the table in the East Lobby at the church.

Full Text of the Proposed Amendment:
(a) RIGHTS. All human beings have a right to life regardless of age, illness, or disability when there is a detectable heartbeat.
(b) APPLICABILITY. This amendment is not intended to impede medical management of an ectopic pregnancy, law enforcement operations, or imposition of the death penalty for a capital offense.
(c) IMPLEMENTATION. Within 12 months of the effective date of this section, the Legislature shall enact legislation to implement this section in a manner fully consistent with its purpose.
Support 'Alpha'
With Loose Coins

Pick up a baby bottle in your Bible Fellowship Group room and use it to collect loose change for Alpha Women's Center.

Take the bottle home and fill it up much like you would a coin jar. Then return it to your BFG when you fill it — or by Sunday, June 20, when all bottles are due (with the money you have placed in them).

Alpha is a pregnancy crisis center that Riverbend supports through our missions ministry.
Sarah's Circle women's ministry meets Tuesday, June 15, at 5:30 p.m. in Fellowship Hall.

Riverbend's annual Graduate Recognition service—6:15 p.m. on Wednesday, June 30—will include some pictorial highlights of this year's Summer Camp.
