THO Outreach
Congressional outreach continued as Communications Manager Savannah Lane and Partnership Manager Pinar Gezgec met with Congressman Steve Cohen (TN-9) at a private event recently.
The THO Team attended the NATO Engages summit organized by the Atlantic Council, German Marshall Fund, and the Munich Security Council. The team heard from speakers include U.S. Vice President Mike Pence, Former Secretary of State Madeleine Albright, Secretary of State Mike Pompeo, and Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu. The THO Team also met with and spoke to many of the Distinguished Speakers and Attendees during the summit.
THO President Ali Cinar was invited to a special event where he met and spoke with members of Congress including: Michael McCaul (TX-10), Alex Mooney (WV-2), Virginia Foxx (NC-5), Joe Wilson (SC-2), Steve Chabot (OH -1) and many more.
Media outreach continued as THO President Ali Cinar was interviewed on CNNTurk and Communications Manager connected with various news outlets including State Department correspondents.

Highlights
  • U.S. Secretary of State Mike Pompeo met with Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu and expressed support for ongoing negotiations regarding northeast Syria. The Secretary called for the swift resolution of cases involving unjustly detained U.S. citizens, including Serkan Golge and local staff from the U.S. embassy. Read more here.
