The THO team began their new outreach initiative Global Perspectives From the UN at the United Nations in New York City.
Congressional outreach continued as THO President Ali Cinar connected with Congressman Eric Swalwell (D-CA).
Media outreach continued as THO President Ali Cinar was interviewed recently on air.
THO President Ali Cinar also attended Anzac Day in NYC. Anzac Day goes beyond the anniversary of the landing on Gallipoli in 1915. It is the day we remember all heroes who served and died in all wars, conflicts, and peacekeeping operations.

Our THO Non-Resident Fellowship Cross Atlantic Exchange kicked off this morning with a meeting at the International Monetary Fund with Alternative Director Omer Bayat and Executive Director Raci Kaya discussing the economic and financial relationship between the US and Turkey and the importance of continuing that dialogue.

TURKISH-AMERICAN SUCCESS STORIES
Hulis Mavruk , a self-taught Turkish American painter, specializes in paintings of history, celebrities and African Americans and their environment. Mavruk was born in southern Turkey and began his career in Adana. There he painted portraits of American officers serving at the nearby Incirlik Air Force Base. His paintings were recently displayed at ArtExpo in NYC.
Defne Koz , a Chicago-based Turkish-American designer received a #goldaward from prestigious from Germany Design Award 2019.
