THO Ambassador Series
THO’s latest program will offer the D.C. audience an opportunity to hear from various ambassadors on the issues of importance to their respective nations. On December 17th, THO will host His Excellency, Ambassador Elin Suleymanov , Azerbaijan's Ambassador to the United States , for a roundtable discussion about the the trilateral relationship between Turkey, U.S. and Azerbaijan . This is an invitation-only event.

U.S. Foreign Policy in the Middle East and U.S.-Turkey Security Cooperation in 2019
On T hursday, December 6th , THO hosted a panel discussion on  “US Foreign Policy in the Middle East and US-Turkey Security Cooperation in 2019.”  Moderated by THO Contributor Sarah Houston, Daniel Christman, Lt. General, U.S. Army (Ret.), Senior Counselor for International Affairs, U.S. Chamber of Commerce, Dr. Naim Baburoglu,  Turkish Brigadier General (Ret.), Istanbul Aydin University, and Dov S. Zakheim,  Senior Fellow at Center for Naval Analyses, Former Department of Defense Official, discussed potential changes in U.S. foreign policy and U.S-Turkish relations in 2019.

THO President Attends UN Gala
On Wednesday, December 5th, THO President Ali Cinar attended the United Nations Correspondent Association's Gala in New York City. UN Secretary General Guterres, the Clooney family, ambassadors and UNCA members were in attendance. The ceremony honors journalists and news outlets for coverage of the United Nations and UN agencies.

Amal Clooney received the 2018 UNCA Global Citizen of the Year award. In addition, one of THO's main sponsors, Turkish Airlines, gave two travel packages to the raffle winners. Turkish Airlines General Manager Cenk Ocal presented the prizes on the stage.
100th Anniversary of Azerbaijan Parliament
On Friday, December 7th , THO staff attended the celebration of the 100th anniversary of Azerbaijan Parliament , which included a screening of “Lifelong Mission,” a documentary dedicated to the Azerbaijan Democratic Republic.

Emerging Markets' Currencies Have Staged A Comeback
