THO celebrated the 100th Commemoration of Ataturk, Youth and Sports Day this week. May 19, 1919 signifies Mustafa Kemal Ataturk’s landing at Samsum. Ataturk wanted the day to be celebrated with a focus on youth and the day became the holiday “Festival of Youth and Sports.”

participated in an event this week performing a Turkish folk Dance, Atabari in front of the White House to celebrate the 100th Commemoration of Ataturk, Youth and Sports Day this week. Groups in over 100 cities and 19 countries danced Atabari in an attempt for a Guinness World Record.
