Last week THO's outreach kicked off as THO's President, Ali Cinar, attended the NATO leaders meeting in London and the NATO Engages conference that occurred before the meeting.

Additionally, at the NATO Leader meeting THO President's, Ali Cinar, met with the Prime Minister of North Macedonia and congratulated North Macedonia on its new NATO membership.

Communications Manager, Savannah Lane
, also met with U.S. State Department officials last week to discuss current development in Turkey and also provide insight on current Turkish policies.
Then finally,
THO's Executive Director, Elvir Klempic and Communications Manager Savannah Lane
, met with George Mason University researcher to discuss the Turkish diaspora in the U.S. and review Turkey's own immigration issues.

THO media outreach continues as THO's President, Ali Cinar, met with various media channels such as

During his interviews Ali Cinar discussed and focused on the recent NATO meeting, as well as Turkey's current relationship with its NATO allies.

Emily Przyborowski is a first year Master of Arts student at the Johns Hopkins School of Advanced International Studies in Washington, DC. At SAIS she is concentrating in Middle East studies and minoring in Strategic studies, her focus is in Middle East security and counter-terrorism. Emily is the Secretary of the Defense and Intelligence Club at SAIS and will serve as the President in her second year. Emily is a correspondent for the Arab Weekly where she writes analysis on current issues relevant to the Middle East and United States.
Emily is a 2019 graduate of Notre Dame of Maryland University where she earned a degree in Political Science and studied abroad at the University of Jordan in Amman. She was the recipient of the Nancy Kreiter Student Research Award and the Political Science Departmental Award upon graduation. In addition to her graduate studies Emily interned with Congressional offices, the Near East South Asia Center for Strategic Studies, the American Foreign Policy Council, and the Critical Threats Project at the American Enterprise Institute.

There will be a Four-Way Summit on Syria in Turkey
|
The leaders of Turkey, France, Germany, and Britain will meet in February 2020 in Istanbul, Turkey to hold the next quadrilateral meeting on Syria. The 2020 meeting was announced after the meeting this week on Syria, where the leaders discussed Turkey's Operation Peace Spring and met with U.S. President.

Turkey and the U.S. will negotiate LNG Trade

With the $100 billion target in bilateral trade set between the two countries, Turkey and the U.S. are making plans to expand energy trade relations. Turkey is hoping to increase it's LNG trade with the U.S. in hopes of decreasing its dependence on pipeline gas.

Trump and Erdogan Meeting in London During NATO Meeting

President Erdogan on Wednesday held a one-on-one meeting with U.S. President Trump, on the sidelines of NATO leaders' summit in London. The two met behind closed doors for half an hour after the main session of the NATO leaders' summit.

As the NATO leaders meeting came to a conclusion last week, Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg said a few closing remarks. According to Stoltenberg, "Our meeting has once again demonstrated that NATO remains the only place where Europe and North America discuss, decide and act every day together on strategic issues that concern our shared security."
