ANDERSON ADVENTURES

There is a huge disaster around the world that is for the most part ignored. Ignored because it is not often talked about. Human trafficking, and it is right here in the United States. GoServ Global had the opportunity to partner with Wings of Refuge ( www.wingsofrefuge.net), an organization working to help woman trapped in trafficking. GoServ Global worked 24 days hosting more than 50 different volunteers who worked a combined total of 750+ hours. We were able to gut the entire house, removing more that 150 yards of debris. We fixed existing framing issues and framed the new layout. We installed 25 windows and 3 exterior doors. Thanks to all the volunteers! This effort would have been impossible without you. Thank you to the many people who have contributed financially over the years to GoServ Global’s domestic ministry. It is those contributions that allow us to have the resources to help here and respond to future disasters.

Leading Teams

I continue to help with international projects, the most recent one being Ethiopia. GoServ Global is moving forward with a 100 Sukup Safe T Home® project in Ethiopia. This project will replace homes that are built out of sticks and plastered with cow manure. The hope is to provide rural Ethiopian families with healthier, more sanitary living conditions. Along with three other GoServ Global representatives, I traveled to Ethiopia in mid-December to work out logistics and make plans for the project. We hoped to be back in country sometime in June to start the project. However, we have two specific prayer requests to make this happen. First, the end/slowdown of the Corona Pandemic. Second, the finances for the project. GoServ Global is partnering with another organization who is responsible to raise the money.

Promotional Events

I continue to head up our efforts to share the story of GoServ Global at events. Last year we were at 14 events with attendance of over 3.25 million people. These events have been very successful in bringing more people and resources to GoServ Global. We will continue to share the story at events this year. However, this will depend on the slowdown of the Corona virus.

What's Coming Up

What are we doing during this time of physical distancing? The pace of the last several years has been very hectic. This has not allowed a lot of time for maintenance and upkeep of our equipment and resources. We have more than enough work to keep us busy during this time. We are also working on fundraising efforts, repairing equipment, doing routine maintenance, and working to be organized and prepared for the next disaster we will deploy to. My desire is to keep you more up to date on what the Domestic arm of GoServ Global is doing. One thing I have started is posting videos to show what we are doing. You can find links to these videos on my Facebook page or the Domestic YouTube channel (GoServ Global Domestic Youtube).

What does the future hold? Well, we are trusting God for this. Right now, the plans for the upcoming year are as follows: 1.    Ethiopia: I am planning on making 2 or 3 trips where I will be overseeing the start of the Sukup Safe T Home® project. One main purpose of these trips will be to train the local people on how to build the homes. 2.    Sharing the story of GoServ Global: Our first event was scheduled for the first week of June at the World Pork Expo in Des Moines, IA (but has been cancelled). Starting in August we have multiple shows and fairs we are planning to attend. 3.    Disaster relief: We will be ready to deploy to the next major disaster that hits here in the Midwest. We will be taking our equipment, resources, and personnel ready to help. Our goal is to make volunteers successful in helping impacted families. We do this by providing the volunteers with tools, resources and direction. 4.    Partnering with other faith-based organizations: We desire to find more opportunities like we had with Wings of Refuge. Our desire is to use our resources more to bring Glory to God and expand His kingdom. This is where you can help. If you know of an organization we might be able to partner with, please let us know.                                                                      The other exciting news is starting June 1 st we will have 3 fulltime Domestic missionary staff. This is a huge blessing and gives us the opportunity to expand our ability to help others. It also allows me to have a little more time with my family. God is always faithful to us. Thanks to all who have contributed to us personally and to the Domestic ministry. We are in some tough and uncertain times right now. Not only with the Corona virus but the agriculture community is suffering hard economic times. God has used the Ag community for a large amount of our funding. Some of those contributors are in the position of having to curb giving, making it critical for more people to step up and help us out. Please consider if you can help us financial whether it is to us personally or the Domestic ministry as a whole. Come join the team in providing HOPE to people in their darkest hour. We know so many have lost their jobs during this time, please let us know how we can pray for you as we face this time of uncertainty together. We praise God for his faithfulness, comfort, and movement as we see Him continually redeeming sorrow into joy and fear into comfort and peace. We are praying for you to keep your eyes on Jesus our Redeemer.
