The Laws of Life: The Law of Peace
On my way to a meeting one morning, I was preparing to enter the expressway and was in the turning lane. A car to my right was trying to get over to the turning lane so I stopped to let him in, and he safely entered the lane. Suddenly heard a horn blowing, and the car behind me with tires screeching drove recklessly around and cut in front of me, blocking me from going. Now this was a fairly small guy in a small car, and I need to tell you; I am 6’3’’, weigh 290lbs, and there is still some muscle involved. I drive a large crew cab four door Ram truck, and I have sufficient firepower to defend myself should a situation arise. So, what happened? He opened his door and yelled - what’s wrong with you (G rated version)?!! Are you trying to cause an accident? When his door opened, I rolled my window down and calmly said Sir, the car in front of we couldn’t get over…I was letting him in. He said oh, realizing he had acted irascibly and looked as if he was sorry. I said, be blessed, be safe, and have a nice day. He said thanks, and I paused to let him in completely and he went on, looking as though he had just put his foot in his own mouth. Welcome to the “Law of Peace”.
The Law of Peace
The Law of Peace says that peace at its foundation level must begin within us. We are all gifted with it, but it is often buried beneath our emotions, unhealthy mental constructs, and anxiety concerning our lives. When we awaken to our peace, it will be communicated to others without words, is spread, and shared with the world. Now I am still working on this in my own life and the previous account was on a good day for which I am grateful.
· Cultivate your peace every day…you will sense it when the noise stops, not in your ears but in your heart, mind, and soul. Mediation and prayer, walks through the park, or relaxation in your sacred space at home, and many other things can help. There are three exercises dedicated to this in my manual “The 8 Pillars of Lifetime Sanity” (www.rogerckellygroup.com/store) to support you.
· As you incorporate The Law of Peace personally, it will become a part of your everyday life, not making you passive, but wise in dealing with the situations that come your way. Suddenly, you will change the atmosphere wherever you go, without saying a word…because people can sense peace and they want it!
· Please join me in praying that our leaders will work out the peace in their personal lives and bring it to the meetings and matters where critical decisions are made that will impact the future of the world as we know it. I believe that human beings share far more in common than the things that divide us and is not worth blowing up the world over. The effects of The Law of Peace can be ignited only at a grass roots level and can offer us all hope that seems impossible right now.
The Law of Peace can take your quality of life through the roof right now, subject only to your correctly applying it in your life. Have a great week and Happy Thanksgiving to you and your family.
Good Success,
Roger
