The Laws of Life: The Law of Sacrifice
Cuánto cuesta? (How much does it cost?) If you remain single, singleness has its price. If you choose to marry, marriage has its price. If you choose not to have children…childlessness has a price. If you choose to have children…parenting has its price. If you choose to live in the country…rural living has a price. If you choose to live in the heart of the city…urban living has its price. If you choose to work on a job…being an employee has a price. If you choose to open your own business…entrepreneurship has a price. If you choose to trust no one…isolation has its price. If you choose to open your heart to trust people…relationships have a price. If you choose to do nothing…inertia has a price. If you choose to pursue a goal…achievement has its price. Everything Has a Price! Welcome to The Law of Sacrifice…
The Law of Sacrifice
The Law of Sacrifice explains the fact that on every road you choose to travel in life, you give up the experiences and benefits on every other alternative road that you could have taken. Every decision that you make in life you want to count up the costs; there are always costs to everything, and what you don’t want to do is look back and realize the price later in your life.
· Whenever you make a decision in your life, when you are aware of the costs, you can prepare yourself for them and encounter them with your whole heart which is a major key to success. There is nothing worse than standing in the middle of dire circumstances then telling yourself “I didn’t sign up for this %#?!!!”. You will never succeed!
· When you make a decision, you must value what you are going to gain in making your selection. When your heart is in what you are doing…no price is too great. A couple that loves and cares for each other will not abandon each other, in spite of health challenges, financial challenges, discovery of imperfections, difficulty in communicating, and failures. Hence…we have marriage vows up front and often on video to remind us!!! If your heart is in it…Persevere!
· Life is the accumulation of the things and people we love and value that’s worth living for, and even dying for is necessary. In fact, if there is nothing worth dying for, there will be no joy in your living. I’m not speaking of suicide or bringing harm to anyone but being willing to sacrifice to the point of putting it all on the line…then doing so!
Friends there is no such thing as a painless, trouble free, and 100% pleasurable life; There is a rewarding, fulfilling life when we calculate the costs and pay them willingly with gratitude for what we are gaining. What will the New Year Cost You?
Strength, Wisdom, and Blessings to You and Yours,
Roger
