The Laws of Life: The Law of The Question
One of my personal favorite Laws of Life which has produced incredible results is the Law of The Question! This law is one of the most powerful when it comes to accomplishment and is one of the greatest relationship tools of all time. Take a look:
The Law of The Question
The Law of The Question says that the use of questions opens up new dimensions in life because it opens the door to resources, insight, information, and direction not previously known. It is the polar opposite to assumptions and judgements which inevitably leads to error.
· First, questions help to open up the mind as opposed to shutting it down. This works first and foremost with ourselves: When we say I can’t (.) the mind shuts down; When we ask How Can I (?) the mind opens up. When endeavoring to establish a relationship of any kind, asking great questions puts you on the fast track for sure! One of the reasons I advocate journaling through the use of questions is it is the pathway to answers within you that have not yet entered your conscious mind.
· Second, questions help to mitigate inaccurate assumptions, which is a big problem in our world today. When we embrace our own false assumptions, it sends us down a wrong path which can lead to disastrous results. This can lead to wasted time, relationships, resources…and even a wasted life!
· Third, Questions are a major tool in problem solving, which we all must become adept in. Behind every problem is promotion, discovery, money, wealth, and a more meaningful life. Asking the appropriate questions is the doorway that leads to solutions. (See previous Newsletter [The Law of The Problem]) As with all of the other Laws of Life…The Law of The Question works every time.
Try These:
-How can I double my income? (Have pen and paper in hand)
-When I look in the mirror, what do I really see?
-Who am I?
-How can I help you?
-What do I really want?
-What do you really want?
-What is my most important goal?
-Where will I be 5 years from now?
-What is the real meaning of love?
-How am I doing as a father? (Husband, friend, wife, parent, companion, etc.) [Caveat – Please be honest, there is no penalty for any answer!]
-What other questions can you think of?
These questions can be used in the 1st or 2nd person (with yourself or others). The process of deriving the answers will be life changing…I guarantee it!!!
Have a sparkling week!!!
