"I like to let people know I can move and groove -

and I can do anything when I put my mind to it!"

Six months ago, Erica spent her very first day with The League in the Adult Medical Day Program. Since then, she has been encouraged by staff members and her peers to set goals, explore her passions, and communicate her hopes and dreams.

Erica lives independently in her apartment with support from her older brother. Erica comes to The League five days a week where she balances a busy schedule of social activities and independent time with her friends.

Erica's love of singing and movement comes from her mother. She enjoys all types of music and will happily sing songs from Carrie Underwood to Lionel Ritchie. By playing an active role in planning her day, Erica maximizes her level of engagement and gets closer to achieving her goals every day.

Erica has long-term goals of getting out of the house more, returning to her church, and attending CLUB1111 on the second Saturday of every month. Programming at The League is helping her build friendships, develop new skills, and exercise her creative muscles through music, movement, and art. Erica recognizes the endless possibilities ahead of her as she navigates her life with positivity and buoyancy at The League.

"When I'm down, ya'll pick me back up!"

The Year-End Campaign for The League Fund kicks off TODAY! Your gift to The League Fund, during any time of the year, allows us to continue important services on campus and in our community. Donations bridge the gap between program service fees and government funding and the cost of services provided to fulfill our participants' needs. The League Fund supports our ability to offer individuals the opportunity to gain independence, increase self-sufficiency, and improve quality of life. Your gift enables us to not just offer services to individuals with disabilities, like Erica, but also offer critical services to support growth, connections, and sense of purpose in the streets, homes, organizations, and businesses of Baltimore. Together, we are able.

Would you consider supporting participants, like Erica, with a gift during the Year-End Campaign? A gift of $250 can help finance the therapeutic programming that promotes artistic expression, talent exploration, and positivity five days a week.

Foster creative outlets for Erica with a gift today!
