Our League Story, Stephan & Tashia
Stephan and Tashia have been committed to each other for the past three years. The couple met in The League's Meaningful Day Program, Stephan, an adult in Employment Services and Tashia, a daily participant in the Day Habilitation Program. They began to hang out as friends at the various theatrical productions, holiday celebrations, and summer cookouts, but it was on the dance floors of CLUB1111 that the two couldn't keep their eyes off of each other and a meaningful friendship blossomed into a love connection filled with smiles, laughs, and romance.
Stephan is nearing his eight-year "workaversary" with Cinemark and Tashia could not be more supportive of his success. The pair call each other every day and talk about their families, highlights, and interests. Both are extremely grateful that The League brought them together to spoil, cherish, and love one another through new adventures.

A Concluding Note from Our President & CEO
2024 is already shaping up to be an impressive year for our participants, staff members, and supporters! As we enter The League’s 97th year of servicing Baltimore’s disability community, we reflect on the tremendous impact that our organization has made in the lives of thousands of individuals of all abilities.
I would like to personally commend each of our Active Together Challengers for prioritizing their health and raising important funds - and awareness - for the individuals that we serve! While yoga is not necessarily a part of my wellness journey, I am happy to see that this Challenge has encouraged healthy lifestyle choices and community integration with our wellness partners!
Lastly, with Tastes, Toasts, & Triumphs quickly approaching in April, I urge you to show your support for this incredible event and join us as we incorporate the CLUB1111 Experience into the evening's impact. Together, we are able to share in our triumphs, big and small!
