NSPA/MSA Dinner a Success!
On Thursday March 28th, 2019 the Northumberland Salmon Protection Association and the Miramichi Salmon Association held its 23rd Annual fundraising dinner at the Rodd Miramichi. This year, the NSPA presented it's "Friend of the River" award to Ashley Hallihan in recognition of his continued efforts as coordinator of the fly-fishing clubs at both Miramichi Valley and Blackville High Schools. In addition, Ashley is actively involved in the Atlantic Salmon Conservation Schools Network, which is having an event on the Miramichi this summer as part of the International Year of the Salmon.  Congratulation Ashley!

Annual Icebreaker Weekend
23rd Annual Icebreaker dinner

This year the 23rd Annual Icebreaker dinner is being held on Saturday, April 27th at the Woodsman Museum in Boiestown, NB. The evening features a silent auction, a live auction and smoked salmon reception starting at 4:30 with usual delicious dinner being served at 6:00. 66th Annual General Meeting

The 66 th Annual General Meeting of the Miramichi Salmon Association will be held at the Upper Miramichi Rural Community Centre in Boiestown, NB on Saturday April 27 th at 1pm. All MSA members are welcome to attend. An MSA Inc. Board of Directors meeting will follow the AGM and will be held at the same location. 
Annual MSA Science Day

The Miramichi Salmon Association in partnership with the Miramichi Watershed Management Committee invite you to the Annual “Science Day”.
Central New Brunswick Woodsman Museum. Science day features 8 different speakers presenting on scientific issues important to the Miramichi watershed.
It takes place on Friday April 26th from 10am to 3pm
Admission is free, complimentary lunch provided

Field Program Update

With the snow and ice starting to melt, the MSA is preparing for the spring/summer field season! With many exciting projects being planned, we are looking for hardworking, passionate individuals to join our crew for the summer. Youth with a SEED voucher or who qualify for the Canada Summer Jobs program (youth ages 15-30) will be considered for a position. If you or someone you know is interested in applying, send your cover letter and resume to our Biologist Kelsey McGee at [email protected] . Renous wins Kraft Hockeyville!!!!
Congratulations to the community of Renous, NB for winning Kraft's Hockeyville! They will receive $250000 in upgrades to their hockey arena and a chance to host an NHL exhibition hockey game. The Renous arena is adjacent to the Renous Community Center where the MSA host one of it's lunches during the MSA 'Salmon Classic' in July.
