Thank you for helping me and all of us working to keep making this city better.

Over the coming months, I'll use this newsletter to share what's happening in our schools, what I'm hearing from families, and why I'm running to serve on the San Francisco Board of Education.

You'll also hear stories from the classroom, updates from around our community, and my thoughts on the issues shaping the future of SFUSD.

I'm grateful you're part of this journey.

Why I'm Running

When people ask why I'm running for School Board, my answer is simple:

public schools changed my life.

I grew up in SFUSD as the son of an undocumented Chinese immigrant. My teachers believed in me, encouraged me through challenges, and helped me find opportunities I never imagined possible.

For years before I considered running for office, I chose to give back by volunteering in classrooms, serving on oversight committees, and supporting students across our city.

Now I'm running because I want every student to have those same opportunities.

My campaign is built around three priorities:

- Better Outcomes for Every Student.

- More for Students. More for Families.

- A Lifetime Commitment to SFUSD.

It was an honor to speak at the Chinese Consolidated Benevolent Association's monthly meeting and to be featured in the Sing Tao Daily.

We talked about rebuilding trust in SFUSD by raising academic achievement, expanding dual-language immersion, and delivering more reading, more budget clarity, and more transparency.

Thank you to everyone who joined the conversation.

It was humbling to get so much support from these long time leaders of Chinatown.
