Today, we celebrate our 61st anniversary. Brothers Bill and Bob Healey founded Viking on April 1, 1964, starting with just an unheated shed with dirt floors on the banks of the Bass River. By adhering to our mantra of building a better boat every day, we have risen to the top of the marine industry as the leading manufacturer of semi-custom sportfishing yachts and high-performance outboard boats, all produced in a combined 1 million square feet of manufacturing space. Always moving forward, Viking has grown into a family of eight companies within the Viking Marine Group, all still owned and operated by the Healey family.
