One of the first techniques you probably learned when being introduced to the Zentangle Method is aura.
An aura is a simple line drawn equidistant to another line in a tangle. The newly drawn line mimics or responds to the characteristics of the previous one, much like a halo or ripples in a pond. Drawing auras is a beautiful meditative practice and leads to unexpected results. Once you learn how to aura, you will find yourself using it as a skill in other tangles, tangleations and as a tanglenhancer.
In your journal, dedicate a page to aura. Adding a string over the entire page with many different sections to tangle allows you to revisit this exercise more than once.
- Tangles that use aura as part of its composition
- Add auras to tangles that don't typically incorporate this technique
- If you have the Legend of Lady Aura legend, use that to help pick tangles.
