Join us for an outing to see Dream House at The Alliance Theater on Thursday, February 3rd. We will leave PHP at 6:30pm for a 7:30pm show and return after the show. This play follows two Latinx sisters on an HGTV-style reality show who are selling their family home, hoping to capitalize on the gentrification in their “changing neighborhood.” It is the winner of the 2021/22 Alliance/Kendeda National Graduate Playwriting Competition. Cost is $58 per Member and there are only 8 tickets. Join us on Tuesday, February 8th at 2pm in the Georgian Room for a Movie Talk with Alexa Foreman as she returns to discuss Guess Who’s Coming to Dinner (1967). Produced and directed by the always forward thinking Stanley Kramer, Guess Who’s Coming to Dinner won 2 Oscars, including one for Katharine Hepburn. Spencer Tracy was Ill during production and died a few weeks later. This was his 9th teaming with Hepburn. Joey is played by Hepburn’s niece Katharine Houghton; her fiancé is the wonderful Sidney Poitier.

Our Men’s Bible Study, led by Jim Phillips, meets every other Tuesday at 10am in the Duckworth Room. Our next meeting is Tuesday, February 8th. Coffee will be served and we look forward to seeing you! 

As a reminder, Jim has taught adult Bible Study for over 35 years at Second Ponce de Leon Baptist Church where he served as Chairman of the Board of Deacons and Peachtree Presbyterian where he is currently a member. The Wednesday Bible Study is meeting the 2nd, 3rd & 4th Wednesdays from 4:30-5:30pm in the Duckworth Room. We began on January 19th with a study of The Book of John facilitated by Carolyn Caswell. Books are $10. Please pay Carolyn directly. The study runs for 12 sessions and will end in mid-May.
