Intro to Hand Building with Clay
We are at the end of our 8-week program, Intro to Hand Building with Clay, where Members have been learning a variety of ways that clay can be used to construct both functional and art forms. Classes are taught by Janet Schneider and our last class is this Tuesday, June 1st from 12:30pm-3pm in the PHP Art Studio.
Wine & Wickets
Wine & Wickets will occur every Tuesday from 4pm-6pm. Our next gathering is Tuesday, June 1st. Cost is $10/Member and RSVPs are required. Call Concierge at 678.619.0474 if you plan to attend each week.

Looking for "Sheriffs"!
We need your help! We need two Members to volunteer each week to be the leaders and run the event. Responsibilities include passing out stickers, timing the games, keeping everything running smoothly, etc. If you are interested in being a Sheriff for one week, please contact Jayne Ann.

JOE GRANSDEN
And mark your calendar for Wednesday, June 23rd from 5:30 - 7:30 when Joe Gransden is scheduled to make a return appearance. Joe is an amazing and well-known trumpet player with a singing voice that has been compared to Chet Baker and Frank Sinatra. He is always a crowd favorite!
Goizueta Gardens Tour at the Atlanta History Center
Join us Thursday, June 3rd for the Goizueta Gardens Tour. Shuttle bus will depart PHP at 9:30am. The Atlanta History Center’s Goizueta Gardens is the first botanical garden in the southeast to plant in the New Perennial Movement in a major way. Sarah Roberts, the Olga C. de Goizueta Vice President, Goizueta Gardens and Living Collections, will be giving the tour. Cost is $20 per Member. Buckhead Heritage Speaker Series
The Buckhead Heritage Speaker Series presents a free Zoom talk titled "Architectural Modernism in Buckhead" with Charles Lawrence on Thursday, June 3rd at 7pm. Join Charles Lawrence, Architectural Conservator and Preservation Planner in the Historic Preservation Studio at Lord, Aeck & Sargent, to discuss Modern architecture in Georgia with a focus on examples of Modernism in Buckhead from the Buckhead Modern Resources (1940-1990), Atlanta Regional Commission survey, 2014. Charles will introduce Modernism, the development of Modern architectural forms and styles, and show many examples from Buckhead and across the state. Click here to Register.
Buckhead Heritage Society Spring Garden Party
The Buckhead Heritage Society is hosting a Spring Garden Party on Sunday, June 6th* from 4-6:30pm at the home of Mrs. William Bowen Astrop at 205 Blackland Road, Atlanta, GA 30342. Enjoy fellowship, drinks, light appetizers, and music as you tour this Philip Shutze designed home and explore Jean Astrop's peaceful garden featuring hydrangeas, which should be in full bloom. Valet Parking included. Cost is $125 per person for Members and their guests and $150 per person for Non-Members. Walk for Wellness at Blue Heron

Documentary and Q&A with Alexa Foreman
Join us for a Documentary viewing of Scandal: The Trial of Mary Astor and a Q&A with Alexa Foreman on Thursday, June 10th from 2pm-3:30pm in the Georgian Room. The documentary explores the headline-making 1936 child custody trial of movie goddess Mary Astor and the fall-out from the release of her private diaries detailing her passionate affair with a legendary Broadway writer and wit. As the first solo project of film scholar Alexa L. Foreman, it represents two years of research, interviews, and writing by Foreman. It's sure to be an enlightening event!

Atlanta Cyclorama: Curator’s Tour
Join us Tuesday, June 22nd for The Battle of Atlanta Cyclorama: Curator’s Personal Tour. Shuttle departs PHP at 12:30pm. Join project curator and Senior Military Historian Dr. Gordon Jones for a special look at the hidden details and unknown backstories of The Battle of Atlanta cyclorama. Your personalized tour takes you around the painting scene by scene: what’s accurate, what’s not, and how it got that way. Cost is $20 per Member. Farm Flower Workshop

Van Gogh Experience
Join us for a visit to the Van Gogh Immersive Experience where you can enjoy the works of the Dutch genius yourself in the artist's masterpieces with a 360-degree digital art exhibition. Pickleball!
Exciting news! The Peachtree Hills Civic Association recently worked with the City's Parks and Recreation Department to have Pickleball courts painted onto all three of the tennis courts at Peachtree Hills Park. They were recently installed and anyone is welcome to play when a court is available.

Every Tuesday morning between 9am-11am, there will be open play for all skill levels and if there are enough people, players will rotate to allow everyone an opportunity to play. All you need is your paddle and enthusiasm for the game! Come play this fun and popular game with your friends and neighbors!
American Parkinson Disease Association Events & Programs

PHP Bible Study
Our Wednesday Bible Study is done for this Spring but will resume after Labor Day. 

Thanks to interest, a group from the Wednesday Bible Study has decided to meet for an informal book discussion for 2 or 3 weeks in June. We will have our first meeting on Wednesday, June 16th at 4:30pm in the Conference Room next to Concierge. They will be reading a book called "Heaven" by Randy Alcorn. All are welcome to come and discuss the book.

A: Noise from construction and outdoor maintenance on our campus should not be heard before 8:00 in the morning. If you hear construction or maintenance noise before 8:00 am, please contact Security at (678) 619-5994 and they will investigate.

Safe and Sound
Have you met Sasha Foreman and Tina Tyson? They are part of the team of 12 security guards and certified EMTs that keep our community safe and secure 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Stationed in the guardhouse watching cameras and patrolling on foot with Sasha and Tina, four guards patrol the community throughout three shifts per day. Our Certified EMTs are always on hand as well to assist with medical emergency needs.
