Movie Showings
Join us Sunday, September 26th from 3pm-5pm in the Georgian Room to watch La La Land (Starring Emma Stone & Ryan Gosling)!

And mark your calendar for Friday, October 1st, and Sunday, October 3rd from 3pm-5pm for Out of Africa (Starring Robert Redford and Meryl Streep). Meet us in the Georgian Room for this classic!

Join us Monday, September 27th for a visit to Illuminarium where, through groundbreaking technology, you will come face-to-face with the world’s most exotic animals in their natural habitats in this unique cinematic experience. Take in the majestic landscapes, gaze at the splendor of the savanna’s sunrise, feel the wonder of a
Kenyan sky lit up by stars. We will be departing from The PHP Lobby at 1:30 and returning at 4:30. Cost is $32.50 per Member. Maximum number of participants is 12. More Building With Clay Ceramics
Our newest 8-week program, Building with Clay Ceramics, is underway where you will learn a variety of ways that clay can be used to construct both functional and art forms. No prior experience, skill, or talent is needed, just a desire to get a little dirty and explore the medium of clay. Classes are taught by Janet Schneider and will meet on Tuesdays, September 28th, and October 5th, 12th, 19th, and 26th from 12:30pm-3pm in the PHP Art Studio. Alexa Forman Discusses La La land
Join us Tuesday, September 28th at 1pm in the Georgian Room for a Movie Talk with Alexa Foreman as she returns to discuss La La Land. Alexa has used her skills as a researcher and producer primarily at Turner Classic Movies for over 25 years so you don't want to miss this! Call Concierge at 678-619-0474 to reserve your spot.
Fall Mason Jar Salads
Join us Tuesday, September 28th at 2pm in Table 1912 as we celebrate Fall by making delicious Fall Mason Jar Salads! So grab a friend and join Xan to create your own fall harvest salad jar. Braves Outing
Join us Wednesday, September 29th for an outing to watch the Braves vs. the Philadelphia Phillies at Truist Park. We will depart PHP at 5:30 pm for a 7:20 start. Tickets are $70 each for Section 233. The outing is limited to 14 and only two tickets are available. Call Concierge at 678-619-0474 to reserve one of these last spots.
Watercolor with Beatriz
Join us Thursday, September 30th from 12:30pm-2pm for our last class in Watercolor: Painting Flowers. Beatriz is using fresh flowers for inspiration and anyone (new or experienced) interested in developing their artistic abilities is welcome. Bubbles from Around the World Pairing
Join us for a Bubbles From Around the World Pairing on Thursday, September 30th at 5:30pm in the Georgian Room where Chef Derek will be pairing food with a delicious selection of champagne and sparkling wines from around the world. Tradition Pumpkin Truck
Thanks to Home Care Assistance and The Terraces, the Tradition Pumpkin Truck is coming to Peachtree Hills Place Monday, October 4th from 11am-3pm on the Front Patio! Celebrate Fall at this great community event that brings all of the fun of a Pumpkin Patch straight to you! Come see the pumpkins of all colors, shapes and sizes and purchase your favorite. We’ll also have gourds, mums, and the opportunity to take a photo with your family and pets. Plus, enjoy a free pumpkin when you stop by, compliments of Home Care Assistance and The Terraces! 
Meet & Greet with Brandon O'Ree, Executive Director at The Terraces
Come Welcome Brandon O’Ree, the new Executive Director of Assisted Living and Memory Care at The Terraces, on Thursday, October 14th from 4pm-6pm on the Front Patio. Brandon brings a wealth of experience and we are excited to have him as part of our team. While enjoying a signature drink and light refreshments, spend some time getting to know Brandon who is looking forward to meeting you and answering your questions about The Terraces. Monthly New Member Meet & Greet
Join us for our new Monthly Meet and Greet! Our next event will be Friday, October 15th from 4:30pm-6pm. We are looking forward to New and Current Members stopping by the Georgian Room to catch up with old friends and more importantly make new ones. We will be offering complimentary select beer and wine and no RSVP is required. You don't want to miss seeing all your neighbors!
Book Club
Mark the date for Thursday, October 21st at 4pm for the book The Only Woman in the Room by Marie Benedict. Leila Taratus will lead the discussion in the Bridle Room.

Weekly Activities
Meditation Mondays
Join us weekly for Meditation Mondays at PHP starting at 4pm in GR 3, where you will learn a variety of stress-relieving techniques that can be used in your everyday life. No prior experience, skill or talent is needed, just a desire for greater happiness and peace. From breathing techniques, meditation, and guided imagery, you will take away skills to use yourself outside of the classroom. Classes have started and are taught by Amy Sullivan.
Join us for Bridge on Mondays at 1:30pm in the Bridle Room! It's open and free play!

Bridge Lessons:
Gene Barnes is offering Bridge Lessons which started Thursday, September 16th and will run for 8 sessions every Thursday until November 4th from 3pm-5pm in the Bridle Room. Please call Concierge at 678-619-0474 to reserve a spot. Cost is $175 for the lessons.
Let's Play Bingo!

Men's Bible Study
Our Men’s Bible Study, led by Jim Phillips, started meeting again last week and will be meeting every other Tuesday at 10am in the Duckworth Room. Our next meeting is Tuesday, October 5th. Coffee will be served and we look forward to seeing you! 

As a reminder, Jim has taught adult Bible Study for over 35 years at Second Ponce de Leon Baptist Church where he served as Chairman of the Board of Deacons and Peachtree Presbyterian where he is currently a member. Men's Coffee
The PHP Men's Coffee is back! We are meeting Wednesdays at 10am in the Georgian Room for a social hour. On September 29th we are pleased to have Bill Bogg presenting Saving The Fox and we will not be meeting on October 6th due to our Celebration Event. Walking Group

Advanced Beginner/Intermediate Mah Jongg Lessons!

PHP Bible Study
The Wednesday Bible Study Fall session has started! We are meeting Wednesdays from 4:30pm–5:30pm in the Bridle Room. The Fall study will focus on the Life of Jesus as told in the Four Gospels. Teachers are Members, the Rev. Dr. Cheryl A. Gosa and Rev. Beth A. Gustafson. All are welcome! No previous experience with the Bible is required! Let Cheryl know if you are interested by emailing her or by calling 404-281-0339 so that enough materials can be ordered. Come and look at the events in Jesus’ life from the perspective of Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John and how Jesus’ life inspires yours today.
Ladies' Wine & Cheese

  • Sign-ups for social play are no longer required.

Croquet Equipment
Members will need to pick up their own mallets and balls from the Fitness Center when going to play croquet. We ask that all equipment be returned after playing.
NOTE: We now have two lightweight mallets available to check out at Concierge if you would like to try one out.
