SUCCESS STORY

- Dawn

Dawn and David came to CRC in need of food when they were living in their car, but they found much more after they enrolled in our Encinitas Pilot housing program.

VOLUNTEER EXPERIENCES
Local Scouts Give Back this Spring
Boy Scouts Troop 777
Thank you to local Boy Scout Michael Price (pictured at right), with troop 777, who earned his “Citizenship in the Community Badge" by facilitating a “Personal Care Items” drive for CRC! Participants who utilize the Food Distribution Center also get to choose two personal care items each week that they shop. Michael organized the drive and developed a flyer, which he delivered to 80 homes. He then collected over 50 full size items and delivered them all to CRC.
Cub Scouts Pack 774
Thank you to Scouts Pack 774 for helping CRC during the Scouting for Food Challenge! These hardworking scouts collected over 580 pounds of food and funds for our Food Distribution Center to help benefit those in need.
Easter Baskets from our Volunteers
The women and children in Carol's House and in our transitional housing had a great Easter, thanks to the Tuesday morning Food Distribution Center volunteer crew! The volunteers donated and packaged Easter items for all the residents.

You too can help us provide relief to community members in crisis by hosting an event to benefit CRC. Contact us to learn more!
