2019 Employee of the Year
Each year, Lighthouse senior staff and supervisors come together to select one employee who exemplifies what it means to be a member of the Lighthouse family. This year was no different and by a unanimous decision, the 2019 Lighthouse Employee of the Year goes to Herbert Galan.
Herbert has been working at the Lighthouse for 13 years as a machine operator, which means he has sewn chip straps for the Marines, Army Combat Jackets, and Extreme Weather Pants for the Army. When Herbert was announced as the 2019 Employee of the Year, he was congratulated with a standing ovation by his peers, which is a testament to how deserving he is of this honor.
Herbert says his favorite thing about working at the Lighthouse is that he's able to work and learn at the same time.
"There's always someone there to help you step by step and it makes you feel like you can accomplish anything
," said Herbert.
The Lighthouse is very proud to have Herbert in our Lighthouse Family.
