Thanksgiving Holidays

November 25-27

Dear Parents,

As we are approaching Thanksgiving Holidays we would like to remind you that per the State's guidelines, families who decide to travel to any state that's on the Connecticut Travel Advisory List are required to self-quarantine for 14 days.

Alternatively, you are exempt from self-quarantine if you have had a test for COVID-19 following your return to Connecticut, and the result of the test is negative. Please send negative test results to the school nurse.

If a negative test result is not received, then your child or children will not be allowed to attend school in person.

Please note, the nucleic acid test (PCR) is the only acceptable testing option.

Please visit the State's website for more travel information here: https://portal.ct.gov/coronavirus/travel

Thank you for helping us to keep our school community safe and healthy!

Thanks Scripping day

Holiday shopping is just around the bend! Avoid those crowds, long waits, and germs and shop from the comfort of your own home. Remember, every gift card purchased is a win-win situation! You save and the school gets a percentage of what is sold.

#iGIVECATHOLIC
11/16 to 12/1

Advanced Giving begins in ONE week and runs between
Monday, November 16, and Monday, November 30.
Why should you give through #iGiveCatholic?

Gratitude and generosity are divinely interwoven in the souls of Catholics. Called to receive God’s gifts gratefully, we share them, lovingly, in service to one another. Please consider making a gift through #iGiveCatholic to celebrate and assist your favorite Catholic parish, school or ministry in our community this #GivingTuesday. Through our grateful and faith-filled response, we unite, giving back, and Giving Catholic, as together, we feed the multitudes and the ordinary becomes extraordinary.

Your gift makes a critical difference, impacting for good the lives of all in our community. Thank you. May God bless you!

Dennis Uniforms

Dear St. John Paul II families,

It was emphasized before the students came back to School this Fall, that our priority along with the implementation of curriculum is safety of our students, teachers and faculty staff.
For the P.E. classes, we have an option to go outside and to be sure that any potential spread of germs and viruses is minimized. Saying that and at the same time hoping for more nice weather this Fall, I would like to point out a few things:

  • Please pack an extra layer of clothes for the students, when it’s not as warm as is now.
  • Please pack (if it’s possible) one more pair of socks and shoes, so the students can change if needed after class, and have dry and warm feet for the rest of the day.
  • We will not go outside if the temperature and/or windchill is below 40°

Thank you for your support and understanding,

Coach Branko
The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society’s Hero Squad program ensures that no child has to take on cancer alone.

By uniting students through teamwork, empathy, and respect for others, we strive to achieve our ultimate squad goal: a world without blood cancer.
