Happy Friday everyone! What a great week we've had at SJPS! We've had many, many Something Beautifuls given out this week and the children have been so busy with their learning! We are so blessed to be a Catholic parish school!

  • Thank you for the wonderful volunteers that have helped us in so many ways. Having you be a part of our school in whatever way you can is greatly appreciated! We love having you in our school and helping make SJPS the best!

  • Reminder--On Wednesday, September 25th beginning at 6:30 p.m., I will be hosting a Parent Info Night. What is Parent Info Night? It’s an evening of conversation and a little bit of fun! This will be a parent event that will help everyone grow in their learning about our fabulous school and all of the programs and happenings that are going on within our building. Please RSVP to the school office or reply on the form sent out yesterday. Save the date and please plan to attend!

  • Screenagers is coming and you will want to see this film! The information is valuable for all parents. Please be aware that the Screenagers Organization has said that the movie is appropriate for ages 10 and up. We will let you decide if your 10+ yr old kids will be in attendance! Personally, I have seen the film and can provide direction. Email or call me if you have questions on this.

  • Wednesday, October 9th is SJPS Noodle Night! 4pm - 8pm. You must mention SJPS or show the flyer that is attached when you are ordering. We will receive 25% of sales!! That is amazing and everyone likes noodles, right? If you are reading this, stop and smile. Write the word "Noodles" along with your name on a piece of paper and have your child drop it off in the basket in the office by our Blessed Mother and Jesus statue. Be the first one! Don’t tell others about this. Let them read this on their own. You are all awesome families!!

  • Standards-based Assessment and Grading info night is planned for Wednesday, October 23rd. St. Bruno's and St. Joan of Arc will be joining us. Location to be determined. This will be the same presentation that we did last Spring.

As many of you are aware, our wonderful middle school social studies teacher, Mrs. Carolyn Kasper, is expecting a baby very soon. When the time comes, we have plans in place for Mr. Tyler Enright to take on the long-term substitute position. This will include both middle school social studies and 7th grade current events. Mr. Enright is with us for his second year at SJPS. He graduated from Carroll University with a degree in education with a specialization and additional certification in Social Studies. PLUS Mr. Enright is a graduate of SJPS!! He graduated with the 8th grade class of 2009. In his free time, he keeps very busy coaching football and basketball for OHS. So now we wait :) When Mrs. Kasper has her little love, I will be sure to let everyone know.

Peace and many blessings,
Mary Johnson
Fr. Tom
