Dear SJPS Families,

We have just completed our 5th week of school! 5 weeks full of learning and growing! We just ventured into the season of Fall--my absolute favorite season of the year. This is the perfect time to spend with family visiting orchards and pumpkin farms. A very special thank you to the families that read through the Lion’s Roar each week and also to those who responded with NOODLES 😃 Remember to watch for your Tuesday Folder in your child’s backpack each week!

  • Screenagers: Tonight at SJPS! Noodle Night is Wednesday, October 9th!

  • Grandfriends Mass today was amazing! Thank you to all the planners and helpers today! I had so many lovely, lovely comments about how special today was for families. The children were so excited to be able to spend time with their grandparent/grandfriend and especially be with them in their classroom! So grateful for the many blessings of today!

  • We really love that our little friends play on our playground after school. It is nice to see them running and playing with their friends. We do, however, need to be sure that playground rules still apply even after school hours. These are for each child’s safety. Do not allow your child to run up the slides or climb on top of the structure and all pebbles and rocks must be left on the ground. We have been having to clear the structure each morning of small pebbles before our lovely littles are able to play. Thank you for your help in keeping all of our children safe!

  • Phones and social media: Thank you for helping us with our no cell phone policy at SJPS. It has made a positive difference for our students!

Thank you for attending our parent info night on Wednesday. Here is a link to the Virtues in Practice Program
It was wonderful to see you and be able to talk and answer questions about our school!
The winning classroom with the greatest percentage of parents attending was our
Awesome 8th grade class! Mr. Gross will be receiving $25 to use toward his classroom.

Father Tom will be doing the blessing of pets at 3:30 p.m. on Friday, October 4th

This weekend is supposed to be a bit rainy. It is perfect weather to stay home and read a book together or have a family game night with everyone in the family involved. Remember our parish picnic is Sunday!

Have a beautiful weekend!
