OAK MIDDLE SCHOOL WEEKLY UPDATE
Academics, Athletics, Activities and the Arts

Dear Oak Families,

We’re excited to invite you to our rescheduled Lunch on the Lawn event on Wednesday, November 13th!

Parents are welcome to join their students for lunch. 6th grade lunch will be from 11:37 am to 12:07 pm, and 7th/8th grade lunch will follow from 12:18 pm to 12:48 pm. This is a wonderful opportunity to spend some quality time with your middle schooler and see them in their school environment.

Thank you for your understanding as we rescheduled due to last week’s windy weather. Please note that parking is limited, so plan ahead and arrive early if possible. We look forward to seeing you there for a fun, relaxed lunch together!

Warmly,

Evelyn Garcia

Astronomy Night at Oak

Thank you to everyone who joined us for an incredible Astronomy Night last week! The evening was a huge success, filled with stargazing, field rocket building, and fascinating engineering displays by the Los Al Engineering Society. A special thank you to Ms. Katsuki and the amazing science team for making it all happen.

We hope everyone enjoyed this memorable evening under the stars! Thank you again for making Astronomy Night so special.

Veteran's Day at Oak

A heartfelt thank you to our entire school community for coming together in support of our Veterans Day assembly! The event was truly special, with over 45 veterans joining us to be honored in a whole-school celebration. We are incredibly grateful to everyone who made this possible, especially our Leadership and Scholarship Club teams, and our Oak PTA, whose efforts helped make the day memorable for our veterans and students alike. Your dedication and support reflect the strong community spirit we have here at Oak, and we are so appreciative of everyone who helped show our gratitude to these incredible individuals.

Choir Show Mamma Mia

Our recent choir show, Mamma Mia, was absolutely fantastic! The students’ performances were vibrant and filled with energy, bringing the classic songs to life on stage in an unforgettable way. A huge thank you to Mr. O'Connell for his incredible leadership, creativity, and dedication to guiding our students to such an outstanding performance. We also extend our deepest appreciation to Friends of Music for their unwavering support, which made this production possible. The show was a true celebration of talent, hard work, and community spirit, and we’re so grateful to everyone who helped make Mamma Mia a night to remember!
