The Liturgical Arts Academy offers training in Byzantine chant or iconography in the tradition of the Orthodox Christian Church. The Academy is a one-week intensive program led by experts in these disciplines. Instruction is available for all levels of competency.
Byzantine Chant
Instructors: John Michael Boyer, Gabriel Cremeens, and Samuel Herron
Beginner, Intermediate, and Advanced Levels offered, includes 5-6 hours of daily instruction along with 3 hours of worship services.
Students will complete an 8 x10 gold gilded icon according to the Byzantine technique, under the skilled guidance of Fr. Anthony. Beginner, intermediate, and advanced proficiency welcomed.
TLAA is subsidized through a generous grant from the Renaissance Fund to encourage the liturgical arts and vital worship in our communities. This gives students the opportunity to improve their skills as a blessed offering to the Church.
