The Energy Wheel is an essential tool within the Capacity Model that enables our crews to identify hazards, implement mitigations, and determine if additional measures are necessary to prevent STKY (Actual) events from happening.

Holiday Season

As the leaves fall and the air turns crisp, we embark on a season of change and holiday celebrations. In the workplace, we see the Q4 customer year-end push, challenging winter conditions, and the impacts of reduced daylight. Amidst the challenges, remember to prioritize your mental health through interactions with friends and family and seeking support when needed.

Wishing you all a great holiday season and year-end. 🍁🎃🦃🎄

Intern Grand Prix - July

In celebration of National Intern Day, our interns had the opportunity to step out of the office and race at the K1 Speed Go Kart track in Sandy, UT, alongside their supervisors. It was an incredible event, and everyone had a fantastic time! Our interns have put in tremendous effort this summer, and they are making a significant impact on Summit Line's culture and work.

This year, our internship program was the largest it has ever been, with interns joining various teams, including accounting, accounts payable, information technology, marketing, project management, and safety. We would like to express our gratitude to all our intern supervisors for sharing their work processes and educating our interns about the operations of Summit Line Construction.

Event Highlights

Mountain Valley Stampede - August

We began the afternoon with a company party at the local park complex in the Heber Valley.

The event featured a variety of food, drinks, and activities, including volleyball, cornhole, a mechanical bull, a bouncy house, a balloon artist, face painting, and a dunk tank. Everyone had the opportunity to purchase throws for the dunk tank, and all the funds raised were matched by Summit Line and donated to the family of Austin Nieves, a Summit employee who tragically lost his life in a hit-and-run accident over the 4th of July weekend.

Following the company party, we had a fantastic time attending the Mountain Valley Stampede Rodeo held at the Wasatch County Events Complex. We wrapped up the evening with a spectacular fireworks show.

An Evening at the Ballpark - August

After a successful company townhall meeting, members of the Roseville team had the opportunity to leave the office and enjoy a night in the suite with their families and coworkers. They watched the local minor league baseball team, the Sacramento Rivercats, who secured the victory. All those in attendance had a fun evening with good food and drinks.

Event Highlights

Escape Room - September

Members of our Roseville team had the chance to engage in some fantastic team-building at the local Red Door Escape Room. This was a great opportunity for the team to put their problem-solving and communication skills to the test, and the evening did not disappoint.
