The LoCastro Report
Tenth Edition
December 14, 2019
With so many Holiday festivities… the weeks are flying by and we will be diving into a new year before you know it! It's been a busy and event-filled 2019 as we "launched" our campaign on Sept 10th and have been running strong and full-time ever since! Thanks to all my supporters and investors in an important race to ALL of Collier County where Experience Matters!

The Naples Christmas Parade was one for the books! There were amazing floats, bands, dancers, and many first responder vehicles. I know the judges had to have had a hard time this year! Our community still has opportunities to come together this holiday. I hope to see you there!

Saturday, December 14th – Marco Street Parade (6:30-8:30 PM)
Saturday, December 21st – Marco Boat Parade  (6:00-9:00 PM)

An important issue, and one I have a great interest in, is EDUCATION. Last week I visited Mason Classical Academy in Naples and spent the afternoon with their new principal, Principal Vickaryous and her team. I appreciated her and her staff taking the time to give me a tour and dive deep into the school’s achievements and strategic plan. The six-year-old charter school has seen amazing results, which can be attributed to the many enthusiastic teachers, the leadership, and students who are happy at this impressive school!

Our last report included details for the Pearl Harbor Remembrance Day ceremony. On December 7th, we honored those lost at Pearl Harbor and all veterans with an emotional tribute. It was such a moving ceremony I’m proud to have been a part of. There were so many people who came together to make this event meaningful and special.

Valerie’s House is an incredible organization you’ve probably heard me talk about before. With their first location in Fort Myers, they just opened their new Naples facility. I had the pleasure of taking a tour and hearing about all the work they are doing for families in our community! This amazing non-profit has grown exponentially in the last couple of years. Their mission is to help children and families work through the loss of a loved one with counseling and activities in a safe environment.   I look forward to continuing to stay connected and work with CEO Angela Melvin and her phenomenal staff!
One of the many themed rooms at Valerie's House where children can express their emotions in a safe setting with experienced counselors.

Thank you to Joey D’s and Marco Island Police Department for a terrific gathering earlier this week. Police Chief Tracy Frazzano has hit the ground running and is out meeting with fellow citizens every day! It was great to see her, her team, Fire Chief Mike Murphy, several fire fighters, and many of you at the lunch!

I wanted to say a huge thank you to my friends Melissa and Jon Phillips for hosting an amazing fundraising reception in their Naples home for our campaign last week! The gathering of their neighbors & friends was truly amazing, and I enjoyed meeting so many new supporters who care strongly about what happens in our County and who know “Experience Matters”. I’m so grateful to people caring about ALL of Collier County, believing in me, and investing in our campaign! It’s not too late to become an investor in 2019.
