Market Updates
This is the time of year when we all crave delicious autumn foods -- crisp apples, buttery squash, carrots made sweet from growing in the cold... Luckily, the market has an abundance of autumn produce for making cozy meals as the days get darker! (Remember, our shortened hours during the winter season are from 9-1.)
Hachiya persimmons are here at Sun Gold Farm! Delicate and sweet, they are an excellent snack and great in salads or smoothies. Just make sure to wait until they are completely orange before you eat them. Even a trace of green on the skin can indicate that they are not ready.
Birkeland Farm rejoins the Hollywood Farmers Market this Saturday, with beef, chicken, eggs, and bone broth all raised on their farm in Beaver Creek, OR. They'll be at HFM each week going forward, all winter!
With the holidays on the horizon, a few local craft vendors will be joining the market for the months of November and December. This week we're joined by Sea2spoons, with handmade wooden spoons and bowls, and Sego Lily Pottery, with unique, functional ceramics.
Starting their seasons this week: Birkeland Farm, Sea2spoons, Sego Lily Pottery

Back this week: 503 Distilling, Bliss Nut Butters, East Fork Cultivars, Stone Barn Brandyworks, The Fermentista

Off this week: Dancing Light Ranch, Fleur de Lis Bakery, Laurel Ridge Winery, Linda Brand Crab, No Mess Chef, Westward Whiskey

Done for the season: Herr Family Farm, Pablo Munoz Farms, ProFarm Orchards

After you do your farmers market shopping, consider stopping by the Grocery Outlet, who are doing their annual Wine Sale! Now through November 10th, get an extra 20% every bottle in the store.
Fill Your Pantry!
In less than 2 weeks, online preordering starts for Portland Fill Your Pantry 2020!

Fill Your Pantry is an annual bulk-buying event designed to help local farmers and ranchers sell large quantities of vegetables, fruit, beans, pasture-raised meats, grains, canned goods, and other products. This year, the online preorder will be open from Nov 17th to 30th, and then the farm vendors will POP UP at the Hollywood and Lloyd Farmers Markets for pick up on Saturday, December 5th and Tuesday, December 8th!

We have a small number of disposable masks available at the entrance for shoppers who do not arrive with a mask, but please bring your own if you are able to. Note that face shields may not be used as a substitute for face coverings/masks. Thank you for keeping the Hollywood Farmers Market safe!
