We're having a real winter in Portland, and that means tomorrow we'll be a true winter market because the
Hollywood Farmers Market is open from 9am-1pm. It's our first market of 2017 and our amazing farmers, foragers, ranchers and food makers want you to join us!
What can you find at a farmers market in the winter? Think mushrooms and nuts, roots, tubers and squashes, dry beans and corn, and sweet to tart and crisp to tender apples and pears. Pick up a package of sausage, a cut of meat or whole bird, some rich winter eggs, and warm your whole house up with market made meals for the week.
There will be over 20 dedicated vendors in attendance (see the full list to the right) including our newest joining farm
Sauvie Island Organics, with certified organic produce grown in rich soils of Sauvie Island just 15 miles from the Hollywood district.
Of course you'll also be able to find many other winter favorites to warm you up if you brave the chill, like
Hot Mama Salsa,
Scratch Meats, 2 Towns Ciderhouse and Sacred Summit.
Make like these
Deck Family Farm pigs and make the best of cold weather by eating well in the winter.
See you tomorrow at the market!
