Saturday looks to be rainy and cool, but our amazing vendors will be here rain or shine, bringing you the very best the season has to offer! You will find seasonal fruit and veggies, pastured meats, fresh eggs, soy-free tempeh, honey, baked goods, juice, crafts, ramen noodles, local spirits, hot brunch, and so..much..more! Come get all your shopping taken care of. See you at the market!

Remember, winter hours are from 9-1. There are markets on November 14th and. November 21st; there is no market on November 28th! Our winter schedule starts December 5th -- we will be here on 1st and 3rd Saturdays through the winter.

Fill Your Pantry - Ordering starts next Tuesday!

Next Tuesday November 17th, online preordering starts for Portland Fill Your Pantry 2020!

Fill Your Pantry is an annual bulk-buying event designed to help local farmers and ranchers sell large quantities of vegetables, fruit, beans, pasture-raised meats, grains, canned goods, and other products. This year, the online preorder will be open from Nov 17th to 30th, and then vendors will have pick up at the Hollywood Farmers Market on Saturday, December 5th!

Vendors participating will include: Birkeland Farm, Deck Family Farm, Gales Meadow Farm, Kiyokawa Family Orchards, Naked Acres Farm, Nature's Old Time Meats, Persephone Farm, Rossallini Farm, Stoneboat Farm and Sun Gold Farm! In addition,

Recipe of the Week: Spiced Miso Delicata Squash
1/2 pound small potatoes, cut into ½" cubes
3/4 pound delicata squash
1/4 cup extra virgin olive oil
1/4 cup white miso
1 tablespoon harissa paste, berbere powder, or other strongly spiced chili powder
3 tablespoons freshly squeezed lemon juice
1 1/2 ounce kale, de-stemmed and finely chopped
1 1/2 ounces almonds, toasted pepitas, hazelnuts, or other toasted nuts

Preheat the oven to 400F degrees. If using fingerlings that aren't tiny, slice them into pieces no larger than your thumb. Cut the delicata squash in half length-wise, and use to clear out all the seeds. Cut into 1/2-inch wide half-moons. You can leave the peel on delicata squash.

In a small bowl whisk together olive oil, miso, and spice paste/powder. Place the potatoes and squash in a large bowl with 1/3 cup of the dressing. Use your hands to toss well, then turn everything out onto a baking sheet. Bake 25-30 minutes, until everything is baked through and browned, tossing once or twice.

Whisk the lemon juice into the remaining dressing. Taste. The flavor should be intense but if yours is too spicy or salty, you can dilute it with a bit more olive oil or lemon juice. Stir the kale into the leftover dressing and set aside.

Place the warm roasted vegetables in a bowl and toss with the kale mixture and nuts.

We have a small number of disposable masks available at the entrance for shoppers who do not arrive with a mask, but please bring your own if you are able to. Note that face shields may not be used as a substitute for face coverings/masks. Thank you for keeping the Hollywood Farmers Market safe!

We accept credit cards, Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program benefits (SNAP), and Double Up Food Bucks as payment. See our website for more information on how to activate SNAP payment.

Ordering in advance of the market will allow you to limit your time and interaction at the market, while still ensuring that you get the items you need. Consider sending one person to pick up preorders for more your community (family, friends or neighbors).
