This past Thursday, February 4th, was the release of our latest newsletter, The Outlook. It was distributed Village-wide within the The Thistle newspaper. In case you missed it, you can read a digital copy online or stop by the Municipal Center vestibule or contact E.D. Locke Public Library to get a hard copy.
Did you know... The Village of McFarland assesses all property annually through a program called Full Value Maintenance? In this program, every property is reviewed and adjusted to market value every year. Assessors review market sales from January 1st through December 31st of the prior year to determine your new value. The property tax bill you receive in December 2021 will be based on the new assessment value of your property using 2020 market data. More information can be found on the Accurate Assessor website.
A new Administrator Staff Report is available to view. Read up on topics including the new Village website, fire hydrant clearing, 2024 Exchange Street construction, the McFarland Sustainability Plan meeting, and the Public Safety Center.
