This Week at Mount Hope // Nov. 25 - Dec. 1,  2019

Welcome to this week's edition of the LOOP. In this email, you will find everything that's happening over the next few weeks within our Mount Hope Community.

As much as we plan, organize and strive, life doesn't always pan out the way we wish it would. Whether it's our career goals, health, or relationships, life often takes us in various tangent away from the path we had hoped for. This is especially true in relationships. So what do we do?  How do we as Christians respond when our relationships don't look the way we hoped they would?

There is a man in the Bible who can relate well to this problem. Having experienced trauma after trauma, the loss of all his wealth, and even his family, Job still holds on to the right perspective of God and life. He understood the truth that it is in the ash-heap of life that we experience God the best. It is often in the hard times that God does His best work in us.

As we come to a close in our "This is Us" series, we look at the life of Job to see how we too may maintain the perspective he maintained in the midst of our chaos.  If you missed Sunday's sermon, you may listen here

Though we are called to serve all throughout the year, the Christmas season seems to bring us many more opportunities to serve individually or as a family.   The People Helping People Ministry is looking for volunteers to staff the Burlington Wish Tree this Christmas Season. The Wish Tree brightens up the Christmas season for many Burlington families in need.  Please let us know if you would like to serve for a couple of hours on Wednesday, Dec. 11 from  12pm-8pm. This can be done individually, as a couple or as a family.  To sign up, simply click on the button below. For more information or questions, please e-mail Kristina MacLaughlan.

And for those who maybe can't help at the Wish Tree, we can still use your help!  There are many in our community who need help this holiday season.  Please take a card from the wish tree in the hallway at our Burlington location, purchase the gift and have it back to the church unwrapped with your card NO LATER THAN  SUNDAY, DECEMBER 8th.   It's that simple!  Thanks in advance for your help this season!

You may attend the gathering closest to where you live. The gatherings will take place between Dec. 08-21. Please click the button below to see where the gatherings are taking place and to RSVP.

Our children are a gift from the Lord! As parents, we often need help along the way to raise children who glorify God and positively impact the world around them. As we come across resources and tools that we find helpful regarding parenting and/or family related topics, we like to share them with the parents in our community.
When we get married, we all hope to have a marriage that thrives and is full of joy. But as we experience life, we realize that this takes hard work and we often help from those who've "been there." Whether you're just starting out, have been married for a while and need some encouragement, or doing well in your marriage, this ministry is for you!
As a part of our ministry at Mount Hope, we offer budget planning and financial counseling services for those looking for wisdom and direction in that area. With our partnership with Beantown Money, these services are available to everyone in the Mount Hope Community at a reduced cost.
Serving at Mount Hope can be one of the best ways to get connected with the church and our communities! Whether it's serving with children, First Impression, Audio/Visual, or leadership, you won't regret getting involved at Mount Hope.
