The Lord's PRAYER!!! 7/9/23
Luke 11:1-4 (KJV)
1 And it came to pass, that, as he was praying in a certain place, when he ceased, one of his disciples said unto him, Lord, teach us to pray, as John also taught his disciples.
2 And he said unto them, When ye pray, say, Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done, as in heaven, so in earth.
3 Give us day by day our daily bread.
4 And forgive us our sins; for we also forgive every one that is indebted to us. And lead us not into temptation; but deliver us from evil.
Matthew 6:9-13 (KJV)
9 After this manner therefore pray ye: Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name.
10 Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven.
11 Give us this day our daily bread.
12 And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors.
13 And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil: For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, for ever. Amen.
This oft repeated PRAYER is commonly known as THE LORD'S PRAYER.
Most of us know this PRAYER by heart and have PRAYED this PRAYER innumerable times in our life times!!!!
Recently, I have been PRAYING this PRAYER more often-at least daily or nightly-in addition to my daily/nightly JABEZ PRAYER:
1 Chronicles 4:10 (KJV)
10 And Jabez called on the God of Israel, saying, Oh that thou wouldest bless me indeed, and enlarge my coast, and that thine hand might be with me, and that thou wouldest keep me from evil, that it may not grieve me! And God granted him that which he requested.
As I neared the completion of my daily peruse of Holy Scripture I read Jesus' PRAYER in the Garden of Gethsemane:
Matthew 26:36 (KJV)
36 Then cometh Jesus with them unto a place called Gethsemane, and saith unto the disciples, Sit ye here, while I go and pray yonder.
Here are the exact Words Jesus is recorded as speaking:
Matthew 26:39 (KJV)
39 And he went a little further, and fell on his face, and prayed, saying, O my Father, if it be possible, let this cup pass from me: nevertheless not as I will, but as thou wilt.
Jesus well knew his fate!! His flesh recoiled at the very thought of the incredible suffering he knew was coming-no flesh desires discomfort and pain..................
I was struck by His closing Words:
“LET THIS CUP PASS FROM ME:
NEVERTHELESS NOT AS I WILL...........................
BUT AS THOU WILL!!!!!”
Does this not sound like what Jesus instructed US-you and me- to PRAY?
Matthew 6:10 (KJV)
10 Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven.
“THY kingdom come, THY will be done in earth, as it is in Heaven.”
And, for good measure, may I throw in:
1 John 5:14-15 (KJV)
14 And this is the confidence that we have in him, that, if we ask any thing according to his will, he heareth us:
15 And if we know that he hear us, whatsoever we ask, we know that we have the petitions that we desired of him.
“THAT, if we ask anything ACCORDING TO HIS WILL, he heareth us:
And we know that he hear us, whatsoever we ask, we know that we have the petitions that we desired of him.”
The revelation I bring before you today is the KEY/SECRET to answered PRAYER is to simply line up with God-GET ON GOD'S SIDE/GOD'S TEAM!!!!
NOT PRAYING selfish PRAYER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
God is NOT Santa Clause, God does not respond to our SELFISH requests-God ONLY responds to PRAYER that lines up with HIS Will!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
“My concern is not whether God is on our side; my greatest concern is to be on God’s side, for God is always right.”

Today- “WHEN YE PRAY”-make sure that YOU and your PRAYERS are on
“God's side, for God is always right!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!”
PRAY THE LORD'S PRAYER DAILY!!!!!

PLEASE KEEP Debbie Florentino in your PRAYERS today! Her youngest daughter passed away suddenly yesterday-her second and only remaining child and our good friend Gary McAfee who is recovering from colon cancer surgery last Thursday.
