The Lord's Work??? 2/2/22
2 Timothy 4:10 (KJV)

Mark 4:7 (KJV)
7 And some fell among thorns, and the thorns grew up, and choked it, and it yielded no fruit.
Mark 4:18-19 (KJV)
18 And these are they which are sown among thorns; such as hear the word,
19 And the cares of this world, and the deceitfulness of riches, and the lusts of other things entering in, choke the word, and it becometh unfruitful.
FEELING FORSAKEN???
I HUMBLY apologize for my FAILURE to produce a sermon, (as as I get older SEEMINGLY more and more often occurring) this past Sunday-I WANTED TO!!!!
IF and When I do not send out my messages, it is usually because of two reasons:
1-I HAVE NOT HEARD FROM GOD!!
I am sick, a loved one needs attention, I have a funeral or other commitment to a BELOVED friend and/or member and/or someone in need of my help.
I AIM TO PLEASE and am disappointed in MYSELF when I so often fail.
The stark truth is I live in and run a DAILY hospital for sick and elderly in my own home-nuff said on that!
I recently had the dreaded and MUCH feared 'Rona and unfortunately this past week my elderly (89 years old) ma-in-law-a patient in the Drucker Hospital, AND my dear wife both contracted the big C.
Needless to add I was unable to leave my house and do “the Lord's work????”
BUT what is the “THE LORD'S WORK????”
Mark 7:10-13 (KJV)
10 For Moses said, Honour thy father and thy mother; and, Whoso curseth father or mother, let him die the death:
11 But ye say, If a man shall say to his father or mother, It is Corban, that is to say, a gift, by whatsoever thou mightest be profited by me; he shall be free.
12 And ye suffer him no more to do ought for his father or his mother;
13 Making the word of God of none effect through your tradition, which ye have delivered: and many such like things do ye.
I MUST interject here and give much praise and credit to my BELOVED friend and fellow Pastor Ronnie Jenkins.
Many years ago he found himself in similar dire straights. His dear and aged mother became completely dependent on his loving care and in the course of this he became frustrated when unable to “DO THE LORD'S WORK.”
As he groused and bitterly poured out his complaint before the Lord, the Lord spoke to him and informed him:
“Ronnie, I have thousands/millions of Pastors and teachers and ministers of My Word!!
I think the world will still spin if you fail to produce for me today-YOU take care of your dear mother!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!”
Beloved, that “SO IMPORTANT” business meeting, that “SO IMPORTANT” Church service YOU are “supposed to be involved in” will survive without YOU!!!!
YOU are not ATLAS-the world does NOT rest on YOUR shoulders!!!
John 13:1-7 (KJV)
1 Now before the feast of the passover, when Jesus knew that his hour was come that he should depart out of this world unto the Father, having loved his own which were in the world, he loved them unto the end.
2 And supper being ended, the devil having now put into the heart of Judas Iscariot, Simon's son, to betray him;
3 Jesus knowing that the Father had given all things into his hands, and that he was come from God, and went to God;
4 He riseth from supper, and laid aside his garments; and took a towel, and girded himself.
5 After that he poureth water into a bason, and began to wash the disciples' feet, and to wipe them with the towel wherewith he was girded.

7 Jesus answered and said unto him, What I do thou knowest not now; but thou shalt know hereafter.
Today/this week I MUST lay aside my ministerial garb and don a similar towel!!!
I even made up (somewhat) my bed this morning!!!
Luke 9:45-48 (KJV)
45 But they understood not this saying, and it was hid from them, that they perceived it not: and they feared to ask him of that saying.
46 Then there arose a reasoning among them, which of them should be greatest.
47 And Jesus, perceiving the thought of their heart, took a child, and set him by him,
48 And said unto them, Whosoever shall receive this child in my name receiveth me: and whosoever shall receive me receiveth him that sent me: for he that is least among you all, the same shall be great.
