For those of you who missed our webinar last week, the link to the replay is below. We were reminded this week of the prevalence of identity theft. One of our clients had fraudulent accounts opened at a credit union and an online brokerage. They were alerted of the accounts being opened by confirmation letters that were sent to their home. It’s a good reminder to pay attention to your mail, including things that seem like run-of-the-mill solicitations. Fortunately, in both cases the fraud departments of the institutions were alerted and (as far as we know) have dealt with the issue.

Caffeine is one of the most popular workout supplements. In a tragic story, a fitness trainer died from caffeine toxicity last year when he mismeasured the powdered version. According to Commonwealth’s Pete Essele, gas prices are actually right around the 20-year average when compared to household incomes. We’d love to see lower prices, but this is a good way to look at the issue. When you return your rental car, make sure you get a receipt. Otherwise, you might end up with a warrant for grand theft auto. A good quote from Maya Angelou: "I believe in anger. Anger’s like fire, it can burn out all the dross and leave some positive things. But what I don’t believe in is bitterness. Forgiveness is imperative because you don’t want to carry that weight around, who needs to? And it will throw you down. It doesn’t help you to live life.
