Hello Friends!
One of the things I love most about Southwest Florida is how our community comes together when someone needs a hand. Last week, Terresa and I had the pleasure of volunteering at the San Cap Pink Project's annual Pink Out Picnic & Health and Hope Expo on Sanibel. What a great day filled with wonderful people and a whole lot of community spirit!
San Cap Pink Project is a local nonprofit run entirely by volunteers helping Sanibel and Captiva residents and employees facing cancer. From financial assistance and practical resources to emotional support, they're making a real difference for our island neighbors.
One resource I especially want to share is Safe Harbor, their free monthly cancer support group. It's open to everyone affected by cancer, including those in treatment, survivors, thrivers, and caregivers. All cancer types are welcome.
You can find more about the San Cap Pink Project and info on their next support group meeting at SanCapPinkProject.com
Even if you don't need this resource yourself, you might know someone who does.
Beautiful beaches and sunshine are a big part of what makes Southwest Florida paradise. But it's the people who make it home.
See you around paradise.
