The MBA at Montgomery's America 250 Celebration!

The Montgomery Business Association was proud to participate in Montgomery Township's community celebration of America's 250th Anniversary, held on June 25 at Montgomery High School. The annual event brought together residents, local businesses, community organizations, and Township officials for an evening celebrating our nation's history and the spirit of community.

The MBA booth was a popular stop throughout the evening, with hundreds of children receiving complimentary glow glasses while families enjoyed the festivities. Visitors also explored booths hosted by local businesses and organizations, enjoyed a variety of food vendors, and were entertained by patriotic performers, including a stilt walker dressed in red, white, and blue. Revolutionary War reenactors, including General George Washington and General Rochambeau, added a unique historical element as Montgomery Township kicked off its participation in America's 250th Anniversary (Rev250) celebration.

Community events like this provide a wonderful opportunity for residents to connect with one another while discovering the many local businesses and organizations that help make Montgomery a vibrant place to live, work, and shop. Thank you to everyone who stopped by the MBA booth—we enjoyed celebrating this special milestone with you!

The Spring Welcome Bag Program is a Rousing Success!

The Montgomery Business Association recently brought together volunteers, local business owners, and board members for its Welcome Bag Packing Party, helping extend a warm welcome to new residents throughout the community.

More than 30 MBA member businesses, along with Montgomery Township, contributed materials and special offers that were packed into welcome bags and delivered directly to new homeowners and residents in Montgomery's rental communities by Nassau Courier.

The event was hosted by Princeton Fitness & Wellness Center, with Tony Parziale serving as the collection site and host for the packing party. Box lunches for volunteers were generously provided by Tiger's Tale.

A special highlight was the participation of a resident who had previously received a Welcome Bag when moving to Montgomery and wanted to give back by helping welcome others to the community.

Thank you to our Welcome Bag sponsors: Nigido Mullin Investment Strategies, LLC, The Montgomery News, The Learning Experience, and Kumon.

Donate a Door Prize and Promote Your Business

We’re inviting MBA members to contribute door prizes for our upcoming events. Donating a door prize is an easy and effective way to showcase your business: attendees drop their business card into a drawing, and winners are selected at the end of the event. Your business will be recognized during the event, and your logo item, product, or gift certificate could end up in someone’s office or home, helping spread awareness long after the meeting ends. Plus, donating prizes shows your support for the local business community and increases traffic to your business or website.

What They Say About the MBA...

"We brought four members of our team to the MBA Social, which shows how much being part of this community means to us. It was a great opportunity to connect face-to-face with other local business owners and build the kind of relationships that can truly grow into something meaningful. Although we’re new to the MBA, we’re already excited to become more involved, contribute to the community, and support the businesses around us."

The World Cup Is Here — Time to Celebrate Local!

Last month, we encouraged our members to start thinking creatively about how to make the most of having the FIFA World Cup right in our backyard. Well, the tournament is in full swing — and the most exciting matches are still ahead of us.

The knockout rounds are now underway, building toward the FIFA World Cup Final on Sunday, July 19 at MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford — just a short drive from our own community. Every remaining match airs on FOX or FS1, with the Final and all knockout games on free broadcast TV, making it easier than ever to host or attend a watch party.

So, whether you’re a fan who wants to soak up the atmosphere, or a business owner still looking to get in on the action — here’s how our community can celebrate together and keep it local.

Throw a Watch Party? Shop Montgomery First.

You don't need to look far to pull together a great watch party. Visit our MBA Member Directory at shoplocalmontgomery.com/directory to find local businesses that can help with everything you need:

Food & Catering

Call your favorite local restaurant or deli about takeout orders or catering packages. Many of our member restaurants are happy to accommodate group orders for match days. Order ahead — big games fill up fast.

Party Supplies & Décor
Local gift shops and party stores can outfit your space with flags, banners, and team colors. This is a once-in-a-generation event — go all out!

Specialty Foods & Beverages

Lean into the international spirit of the tournament. Local specialty grocers and delis are great sources for international snacks, cheeses, and beverages that make a watch party feel like a true global celebration.

Tech & Setup
Hosting a bigger outdoor gathering? Check with local electronics or rental businesses about projector or large-screen options for a backyard setup.

Rather Go Out? Support a Local Restaurant

Several of our area restaurants are showing World Cup matches — especially for the high-stakes knockout games and the Final. Look for spots offering big-screen viewing, match-day drink specials, or themed menu items. And if your favorite local spot isn’t showing the games yet, ask! A loyal customer’s suggestion goes a long way.

A Note to Our Member Businesses

In June we suggested ideas like match-day specials, extended hours, and social media promotions. If you haven’t acted on those yet, there’s still time — the Final is July 19, and interest will only grow as the tournament narrows to its final teams. A simple social media post letting customers know you’re showing the games, offering a special, or accepting catering orders could make a real difference.

And if your Google Business Profile and website aren’t up to date, now is the moment. Fans planning their watch party experiences are searching online, and you want Montgomery businesses to show up.

The World Cup only visits our region once in a generation. Let’s make sure our community — businesses and residents alike — finishes strong together.
