Savor the Last Weeks of Summer!
It's hard to believe that August is already here. While the calendar may be inching toward fall, there's still plenty of summer left to enjoy in Montgomery Township.
August still has plenty to offer—warm evenings, time with family and friends, and maybe a home project or two you've been meaning to get to. It's also a great time to make the most of everything our community has to offer, and to support the local businesses that make Montgomery such a special place to live and work.
Take a break from cooking and discover a restaurant you've never tried. Enjoy a morning coffee from a neighborhood café, schedule that appointment you've been putting off, browse a local shop, or check a few items off your to-do list with the help of one of our many local service providers. You might find a new favorite, or discover a business that's been right around the corner all along. Every visit makes a difference, and every dollar spent locally helps strengthen our community.
As summer winds down, it's also a good time to get a head start on back-to-school routines. Many of the products and services your family needs for the busy weeks ahead are already close by, right here in Montgomery.
Here's to making the most of the season—and to a wonderful finish to summer!

Behind the Scenes at the MBA
When most people think of the Montgomery Business Association, they often think of networking events, ribbon cuttings, or our monthly newsletter. While those are certainly an important part of what we do, much of the MBA's work happens behind the scenes throughout the year.
Every week, the MBA is working to strengthen connections within our business community. That includes welcoming new members, helping businesses activate their memberships and maximize their benefits, coordinating grand openings, promoting member businesses through our website and social media, and partnering with Montgomery Township, the Montgomery Township School District, and local organizations on initiatives that benefit the entire community.
As Montgomery continues to grow, so does the work happening behind the scenes. With Montgomery Promenade preparing to welcome new businesses, the MBA has been working closely with the Promenade management team to help introduce incoming tenants to the local business community. Some of our existing members have already been contacted about providing products and services to these new businesses, creating opportunities for collaboration even before the first doors open.
Behind every event, newsletter, social media post, and new member announcement is a team of volunteers, board members, and community partners who are committed to making Montgomery a vibrant place to live, work, and do business.
Our mission extends beyond hosting events. It's about creating connections, supporting local businesses, encouraging collaboration, and helping build a thriving business community for everyone.
As always, we thank our members for being an important part of that mission. Your involvement, ideas, and support help make everything we do possible.

"I joined the Montgomery Business Association to build relationships with other local business owners and become more involved in our community. Serving on the board has been a rewarding way to give back, and I've found the MBA to be an incredibly welcoming and supportive group that helps both local businesses and our community thrive."

"I joined the MBA board because of how much I enjoyed volunteering on the committee — receiving the invitation to join as a board member was truly flattering. The experience had already been incredibly rewarding, especially with the marketing and networking opportunities that let me grow alongside the achievements and knowledge of the MBA organization. I'm looking forward to continuing that work and contributing to MBA's success in this new capacity."

"I opened my Residential Architecture practice in Skillman, NJ in 2018, and found working with local businesses helped to get my services I offered noticed. I also found it beneficial that businesses I needed on a personal basis were made up of quality people and services I could trust.”

Donating a door prize is an easy and effective way to showcase your business: attendees drop their business card into a drawing, and winners are selected at the end of the event. Your business will be recognized during the event, and your logo item, product, or gift certificate could end up in someone’s office or home, helping spread awareness long after the meeting ends. Plus, donating prizes shows your support for the local business community and increases traffic to your business or website.

Member Spotlight: Party Fair
Since opening in the Montgomery Shopping Center in 2025, Party Fair has become a favorite local stop for balloons, décor, tableware, and gifts — and behind the colorful shelves is a business with more than 40 years of experience in the party supply world.
The Skillman shop, located at 1325 US-206, spans 10,000 square feet and was built with everyday families in mind: wide, stroller-friendly aisles, a kid-friendly layout, full wheelchair accessibility, and a team ready to help load up your car. Shoppers can find everything from budget-conscious party basics to upscale, gift-worthy décor, including merchandise from more than 50 small and women-owned brands not typically found at big-box retailers. Party Fair also offers local delivery, making it even easier to get party supplies where they're needed.
Party Fair is run by Adam Silverstein and his wife, Danielle Warren Silverstein, who both have roots in the greater Princeton area. Their family's connection to the party supply business goes back decades — the very first Party Fair location opened in Freehold in 1983, started by Adam's father when Adam was only six years old. That multigenerational foundation shows up in the Skillman store's approach: a mix of practical, everyday essentials alongside more curated, distinctive finds for people who want their celebrations to feel personal.
The community response has been warm, with shoppers frequently pointing to the store's clean, well-organized feel and its selection of items you simply won't find elsewhere. Balloon décor has become another specialty, with more than 1,000 balloon styles available and a dedicated Balloon Studio right in Skillman creating everything from balloon arches and garlands to columns and other custom designs for celebrations of every size.
From birthdays to holidays, planning a summer party, pool party, block party or maybe a BBQ, Party Fair is proving that Montgomery's celebrations are in good hands. The Montgomery Business Association is proud to have Party Fair as part of our business community. We encourage our members and residents to stop by, explore their unique selection, and discover why so many local celebrations begin with a visit to Party Fair.

What They Say About the MBA...
"As a newly launched Montgomery business, we couldn't have asked for a warmer welcome from the Montgomery Business Association. From organizing our ribbon-cutting ceremony to introducing us to fellow business owners, the MBA has made us feel like part of the community from day one. We've been inspired by the generosity, collaboration, and genuine desire among local businesses to see one another succeed. We always believed Montgomery was the perfect place to launch Park Your Party, and becoming part of the MBA has only reinforced that. We're excited to continue building relationships, supporting other local businesses, and giving back to the community that's already given us so much.”
— Maryann Post and Lila Madama, Park Your Party
