Back to School, Shop Local Style!
The school buses are rolling again, and Montgomery's local businesses are ready to help make the transition smooth. From last-minute supply runs to new sneakers, locker decorations or school snacks, our member businesses have you covered — and every purchase you make locally keeps those dollars working right here in our community.
Back-to-school season isn’t just for the kids. It’s also a great time for adults to refresh their own routines with a few new essentials for work, home or personal wellness. And don’t forget the four-legged members of the family! A new toy, special treat or fresh supply of pet essentials can help brighten their day as everyone settles into a busier fall schedule.
Before you head to a big-box store or click "buy" online, check the MBA member directory for local options. You might be surprised how much you can check off your list without ever leaving town.
And a friendly reminder as routines shift back into gear: watch for school buses and children at bus stops during morning and afternoon commutes. A few extra seconds of caution goes a long way in keeping our neighborhoods safe.

Member Spotlight: Tiger's Tale
For four decades, The Tiger’s Tale has been much more than a place to enjoy a good meal — it has been a familiar gathering spot where Montgomery residents meet friends, celebrate special occasions, conduct business over lunch and make lasting memories.
The restaurant’s roots go back to Montgomery’s quieter days, when the Route 206 location was home to a tavern called Black Bart’s. It later became The Foolish Fox before Adrian Stevens and Cory Wingerter purchased the business and renamed it The Tiger’s Tale. For the past 41 years, it has remained a beloved part of the community. There is a reason that their slogan accurately reads "Lifting Spirits in Montgomery since 1985."
Guests can stop in for a casual lunch, cocktails at the restaurant’s distinctive 40-seat bar or a freshly prepared dinner. The menu offers something for nearly every appetite, including burgers, sandwiches, salads, steaks, seafood, comfort-food favorites and daily blackboard specials. The Tiger’s Tale also provides takeout, outdoor dining, party platters and catering services.
The restaurant’s impact reaches well beyond its doors. Over the years, The Tiger’s Tale has quietly helped families in need, youth sports teams, community groups, local nonprofits and fellow businesses. Much of this generosity happens behind the scenes, without fanfare or a desire for recognition. It is simply part of the way The Tiger’s Tale supports the community it has called home for so many years.
As a founding member of the MBA, The Tiger’s Tale has demonstrated a longstanding commitment to Montgomery’s residents and business community. Its welcoming atmosphere, friendly staff and generous spirit have helped make “The Tale” a true local institution.
The next time you are planning lunch with a colleague, dinner with the family or a casual night out with friends, stop by and support this longtime MBA member — a business that has spent decades supporting Montgomery in return. Lifting Spirits in Montgomery since 1985

What They Say About the MBA...
"Being a member of the Montgomery Business Association has been a tremendous benefit to me and my firm, Nigido Mullin Investment Strategies. As a small business owner, I’ve been able to take advantage of valuable marketing opportunities that have helped promote my firm within our local community, while saving me the time and expense of developing programs on my own.
Beyond the marketing benefits, the relationships I’ve built with other local business owners have been invaluable. Serving on the Board has also given me a greater connection to Montgomery Township and a better understanding of what’s happening in our community. The Montgomery Business Association has given me the opportunity not only to grow my business, but also to be more involved and help support the success of our local business community."
