State of the School Update

Thanks to all those who attended our first State of the School meeting last night! Mr. Regina presented a snapshot of MCC today and a look at next year and beyond.

State of the School Presentation

We celebrate our faith

The MCC Community gathered today for Mass as the Church celebrates the Presentation of the Lord and as we also celebrate Catholic Schools Week. Several members of our junior class received their class rings, blessed by Fr. Vince. Deacon Darrell reminded us in his homily that just as Christ was brought to the Temple, he is also present in our school community. It is our job to bring him to the world!

Lourdes Ridyard Memorial Award

The Lourdes Ridyard Memorial Award is awarded quarterly to an MCC student who embodies the charism of St. Francis of Assisi. This student strives to be inclusive to their peers, exhibits humility, integrity and portrays generosity with their time and talents. Congratulations to Thomas Ribnicky and Victoria Wilkie, our 1st and 2nd quarter honorees!

Faith in action in our community

Thank you, MCC family, for contributing to our Daily Bread food drive. The sophomore class won the competition for the most donations. They earned a NUT day on Monday, Feb. 6th.

The Florida Catholic Conference has confirmed that our new accreditation visit dates are February 27 and .

MCC Day of Giving

February 28, 2023

In 1961, families took a leap of faith that a brand new Catholic high school in Brevard County would become a home for their children. Sixty-two years later, we celebrate them and the countless Hustlers who have walked the halls here on the corner of Babcock Street and Florida Avenue.

This community belongs to all, whether you are an alumnus/alumna, lifetime parent, staff, student, or dear friend of MCC. That is precisely what our Day of Giving is...a day to celebrate and give thanks for what this great community has given us.

All Day of Giving proceeds benefit The MCC Fund impacting all aspects of an MCC education including the academic program, the activities program, the athletic program, and the facility in general.

Mock Trial Competition

On Saturday, the Mock Trial team competed with schools from Brevard and Seminole counties at the Viera Courthouse. These students were prepared, professional, and represented MCC well. Their strong showing would not have been possible without the help of two outstanding local attorneys - Dayna Rivera from the major felonies division of the Public Defender's Office and Ryan McCarville from Morgan and Morgan. So proud of these Hustlers!

Saludos amigos!

Honors Spanish III students practice the art of letter writing! They sent warm wishes in Spanish to their peers in our Sister Diocese of San Juan de la Maguana in the Dominican Republic. Now our students eagerly await their pen pal responses in English. What a great way for all to practice and make new friends!

Planning for next year

Our school counselors will start the 2023-24 course selection process with students this month. Our course catalog for next year is available below for your convenience (it is also in the Resource Documents in the FACTS Family Portal).
